I was surfing around a huge DB/Z/GT picture thread, and came across two pictures of someone who looks a
lot like Colonel Violet. In fact, I'm sure it's her, but I don't remember where these scenes ever took place. Can someone help me out?
Source: more pictures of this scene here, too. Be warned of the long loading time

I think that was somewhere about the time Goku was training with Kami, and he made some kind of time jump or something of that kind.

Mm, I see. Never heard of her. Well, thanks for answering my question.

I don't recall her name, but that was indeed when Goku went back in time. Kamesennin and Tsurusennin were rivals for her attention in their younger days. Tsurusennin went and kidnapped her later on.

She does look like Colonel Violet though. Its actually the same character. Gosh, they have really overdone it a bit with the whole character re-usage

. Unless this two are related in some way, but I seriously doubt it.

Well it's possible that the two are related. But then again there's someone who looks like exactly George W. Bush but isn't George W. Bush. Maybe everyone in the world has at least one nearly-identical twin. But an unrelated twin. Or something. I don't know.

I think the whole "Goku going to past" is nothing but filler, can anyone with the manga approve that?

Yes. Absolutely none of Goku's real training (meaning aside from his first fight with Popo) is in the manga. Toriyama just jumps to the 23rd Tournament, with a little narration indicating the 3 year gap.

The anime tends to reuse character designs for its filler material. Commander Red directing a movie in the Saiyaman arc, anyone?

Wow, I don't remember seeing that. Which episode did that take place in?

I agree with Aremke. That's Kamesen'nin and Tsurusen'nin's old crush. The first image is from when Goku befriends her while Muten Roshi's watching. Afterwords, he asks if Goku's friends or her brother and tries to get to her. The second image is from when Tsurusen'nen and a couple of others kidnapped her. (I don't remember how many of them there were, but I think they were his followers?) Goku and Muten Roshi went after them and Goku jumped over a ring of fire or something. (
I think. It'd be funny if I'm just imagining things now.

)
I believe her name is "RanRan," which would support her being related to "FanFan," the girl Jackie Chun hit on during the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. I think it's just a filler joke, having her seem to be the ancestor of FanFan, not Colonel Violet (whom I've never seen before.)

Episode 192 maybe? Funimation dub anyway. It's when he first gets his white bandana and sunglasses. He shoots a Saiyaman movie and they don't realize he's the real Saiyaman.

Does Red Ribbon army ring a bell? Anyway, I could only found this image of her:
http://www.dragonball-paradijs.com/kara ... violet.php And I think Violet wasn't filler like RanRan.

Not only that, but Old Man Roshi looked kinda like Yamcha in that ep. That or the Yamcha look-a-like from Dr. Slump.

I know what she looks like and who she is, and I know she isn't filler. What I meant is that I haven't seen all of Dragon Ball. Thanks anyway.
Though if I were you, I'd be
really careful with those extra long, out of place ellipses.

Since we are talking about look-a-likes, I always thought that guy who was commenting the qualifyng rounds of the budokai looked a lot like grandpa Gohan.

Sorry, I just thought that you meant you never saw her at all. And about the other thing, its just a really bad habit, which I somehow need to get rid of.

That's not really surprising, considering she was only in two episodes. And I didn't say she was the ancestor of Violet, I just said she looked a heck of a lot like her.

Nope, sorry. "Fanfan" (sp?), like I said earlier.

That would be Lamfan.
And I don't think she's related to anybody, really. She's just... "there".
