Dragonball Z Anime Crossover

Post by SpiritBomb » Sun Apr 11, 2004 2:01 am

I was just wondering what you would think would make a funny, interesting, bad, weird or good plot if the DBZ characters met characters from another Anime

Well, I thought if they were to meet the Sailor Moon people, that would be horrible because those girlls are ditzy, they need to look beautiful before they fight and they have stupid attacks...I have nothing against the show but, thats what it would be like if they met! And the girls would be going all giggly around the DBZ guys and Master Roshi would be like...I dont wanna know...

But, if they met the Inu-Yasha people, now THAT would be kind of fun! I wonder if they would be like "Now, why does Goku have the same voice as this Miroku guy?"........but it would be interesting because if they got into a fight, the Saiyans would probably win but Inu and his gang have an okay chance

One I always wanted to happen was Street Fighter people VS DBZ people....think about it! They have similar attacks! That would be one heck of a fight! I would pay to see that! I wonder who would win...

Ok, now then, what are your thoughts?
Some day, you'll be wishing for today.

Yu Yu Hakusho Meets DBZ! They already have a number of things in common, and as they go Yuske and Co do become quite powerful.

Um, but yeah, did anyone ever notice you have the Kamehameha in DB/Z/GT, the Hadoken from Street Fighter, and the Spirit Wave from Yu Yu? They all look like pretty much the same move...

Even Chaozu is out of Inuyasha's league.

I think an Inuyasha/DB crossover might be entertaining if it happened while Goku was still a child, since it's possible that there could actually be some nice fights at that point.

The Sailor Soldiers aren't ditzy. Maybe Usagi and Minako sort of are (especially in the anime), but not full-out. I can't picture most of them giggling, either, except for the two mentioned ones.

I can't think of any crossovers I'd like to see, since the DB universe is so unique, and there's not many outside characters who can have a decent fight with them.

I agree with Rach, the Sailor Senshi are often unfairly judged. Sailor Moon, especially in it's original Japanese, is a lot more toned down, than the ridiculous DIC version.

an anime that would make a fine crossover with DBZ... well... Not really an anime but...

GUNM- Hyper Future Vision- Gally, the main charachter, likes to fight, is very powerful, and, even though she's weaker than the Z-warriors, in her series people with kill can overpower people 10x stronger than they are. Outrun faster people and other things... basically... in GUNM, skill > power.

What would make this crossover interesting is the opposition of two completely different views about battle. In dbz, power > skill. In Gunm, skill > power.

Street Fighter- This may seem to be stupid. But the street fighters are much stronger than what the gameplays makes them seem like. In SFA2, Shin Akuma destroyed(well... sank it after making it crumble on its own weight) a island with a punch(look at Ryu's ending). SF3 Akuma is MUCH stronger than SFA2 Akuma.

Then, we jump to the manga "Ryu Final"(which was created by the same guy whose manga came many plot elements, and even charachters of SFA3), which is almost canon(because capcom usually bases the plot of the games in his mangas). In this manga, Ryu gets a drawn with an even stronger Akuma. He's so beyond everyone's else level, that he defeated Ken just by punching the wind once, and hitting Ken with the pressure created by his punch(like the attack that Goku used to knock out Chichi).

Ryu at that level should be a good match to the dbz charachters from Cell Saga. But then again... Ryu and Akuma probably are the only ones who would be able to keep up with the Z warriors... Also add Gill to the list.

I think a cross-over with DBZ and Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure would be really neat to see. With the Z Senshi's "Ki" attacks against the Jo Jo's characters' Stands, that would definitely make for a fantastic showdown. 8)

The only two that could work would be either One Piece or Sailor Moon.

One Piece because it and DB share pretty much everything, companies, animation studios, merchandise distributors, and the authors are friends.

Sailor Moon would be kinda funny, but more in the "aww how sweet" pointless azumanga daioh kinda way. It wouldn't ever take itself too serious.

Except that all Luffy and Goku would do is bonk heads together, until they got tired of it, because neither one would be affected by the attack, and then just sit down and eat for twenty-four hours straight.

I agree, The Sailor Scouts can be intelligent when its the right time. But maybe one of them would fall for either Goten or Trunks. Like I said, I have nothing against the Anime and I actually quite like the newer episodes....I wanna see what it would be like if Serena or one of her friends would do an attack on one of the DBZ dudes because I'm curious of what kind of damage it would do because we just basically see a person die right after the attack in Sailor Moon so I'm quite curious of what it would do to a Saiyan

Er..do you mean that against him or Inuyasha? It would actually be an interesting fight between them but once Inu would pull out his sword, I think the fight could easily go to him but against the other Z warriors? I'm not so sure if Inu could win...

IIRC, Chaozu is stronger than Goku was when he fought Radditz. That should make him too powerful for Inuyasha to fight directly.

I agree! The little man has hidden powers that he should use more often! Making me mad that him and Tien stopped hanging out with the others and Yamcha quit fighting. But..I suppose that they had too many characters on their hands that they couldint handle it so Akira Toriyama decided to throw away the un-popular ones.[/quote]

No, Toriyama just developed a "Saiyajin bias" I think.

More of a "what characters can I give easy power-ups to?" bais, I think.

It could also be a case of "I can't remember a third of the characters I create, so I'll stick with the ones I can" bias.

Although that's true of a lot of things Toriyama-related, I don't think it applies here. Kuririn and Yamcha were always hanging around the Super-Duper-Saiyan-Gang. They just never did any fighting. And Tenshinhan turned up at a Dramatic Moment!!! during the Buu saga too.

He just didn't seem to want to develop them as heroes after the Freeza saga.

"The Super Duper Saiyan Gang"? That's a new one! You realize you're now turning DBZ into Scooby-Doo don't you?

If DBZ is going Scooby-Doo I blame Scott McNeil...nah! He's always cool..

And now for a few words we could call the DBZ characters...

The Saiyans

The Z Senshei (or..whatever)

The Z Warriors

Goku and friends

Vegeta and the people he hates most

And last but not least...The Super Duper Saiyan Gang!

Personally, I would just call them the DBZ people

How about DBZ & Sand Land? Their both made by Toriyama, which would help them blend in more easier. And Beezlebub is extremly powerful in the last chapter, I'd love to see him fight Goku.

Chaozu would just freeze Inu Yasha in his tracks, and then Dodonpa his furry ass.

Beelzebub does have some extreme power issues... Goku would have to push him pretty far to get him to snap, and B-bub would have had to absorb a crapload of darkness beforehand, but then it might actually get even. Well... If we take a Goku not too far in the series. Buu Saga Goku is just ridiculous.
