Proposition about avatars

This is going to sound like some nazi thing but for what it's worth, I think everything would look a lot prettier if everyone on the forum had similar looking avatars. If this were to pass, I think we should all make avatars from colored pages of the manga (original release, not Full Color) and from DB: Complete Illustrations.

Other options: regular black and white pages from manga, or Dragon Box version of anime.

For those who hold dear to their current avatar, I would even be willing to edit it for you so that it fits the style.

There are simply too many users, particularly those that don't regularly visit the forum, to be able to logistically accomplish that.

Besides, if we did that, then I wouldn't be able to look like my actual idiot self.

But variety and life spices.

I like that we all have wildly different avatars. You might see someone's avatar and ask what it's from, find out, and end up watching and enjoying the show, game, or movie that avatar came from.

Also I'm enjoying my Miyako Tsuji baseball Gokû avatar.

The only way I could accept this is if active users switched to a specific type of avatars for a week and then were able to go back to their user avatars. Uniqueness is key in avatars, and for me I have learned a lot about people through their avatars. For example, my avatars are usually album covers from my favourite bands or images of things I like, and that helps people learn more about me.

I just think the max avatar size should be increased

they are very tiny right now, and there's a lot of empty space around them for no reason, so why not make them bigger?

I think he is using that super Saiyan hair hat and scouter from DB Kinect, anyways I prefer everyone having diversity instead of being the same.

That sounds more like communist/far leftist idea - they are the ones who want unification of everything. But hell - national socialism, international socialism = one bullshit.

By the way - it's unreal. There is no way to make all people change their avatars.
I cannot agree myself - there is no Kojiro Sasaki character in Dragon Ball! I need to have myself on my avatar!

It will work if it will only be applied to the moderators, but there are simply too many members to apply it to everyone. At best, maybe you can have it like one of the forum I visit where there are default avatars in the UCP for people to choose, but at the same time, they are free to have their own unique avatar in their own will.

As for the max avatar size of the forum, the current (100x100) is good enough in my opinion. They are big enough to have a good look in the avatar, and small enough for it to be not distracting. There are other forum I visited that have a higher avatar size limit than here, and it’s just distracting in my eyes.

I think a more ideal solution would be for the forum to just offer a selection of stock portrait avatars from the the source material you suggested.
