Need info on Broly for research.

I need as much "factual" info on broly as i can get my grubby little hands on. I'm strongly considering making a "what if" fanfic of broly being sent to earth instead of goku but concrete information is in short supply. i tried here: http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Broly but... i'm having a hard time accepting everything stated there.

might have something to do with the poor grammar... anyway, i know it's just a fanfic and that certain things can be stretched, but i'd like to make it as believable and "in universe possible" as i can without pushing the envelope too far.

and for that, i need the facts of the situation. for instance, in the link posted above, they state that broly has a split personality of sorts, with paragus simply forcing broly's mind to lean towards the more tame side. that's... not how i remember the movie stating it. not at all. that's the problem with wikis though.

which is why i came here for help. can someone set me straight here or point me in the right direction at least?

Rule #1 of the Dragon Ball fandom: Don't trust the wiki!

As for information itself, anything useful about him that I'm familiar with comes straight from his first 2 movies. Why don't you start off by watching those and taking notes.

and yeah... i think i've been mislead by that wiki before.

...you know, that wiki also mentioned something about how using super saiyan blue repeatedly actually weakens the form temporarily... true or not, now i want to know for sure.

anyway, i won't be using that wiki again... ever. i thought it was odd that it had a timeline of events that included certain events despite them not being confirmed as canon, and seeming to get events mixed up a bit.

oh great, now i don't know just how old broly would even be when he reaches earth! according to that wiki, he'd be about 2, but now that it's in question... seems i have some digging, and movie watching, to do.

DBZ fans really need an info database. one that can be TRUSTED to be accurate.

That is indeed the case in Dragon Ball Super's manga adaptation.

Use it as the foundation, as it will have all the true and false facts about the subject, which you can then get verified or debunked in unbiased parts of the communities like here.

Born on the same day as Goku it simply depends on how long it took to travel from Planet Vegeta to Earth. Can't recall if the guidebooks give an estimated number, but I think he arrived within the same year he was sent away.

Indeed. Too bad there is not an official one, nor that this site so far hasn't delivered one after announcing it 5 years ago (5 year anniversary on April's fools day on saturday.. maybe they have something planned?)

see, that's where the wiki failed me. I thought they were the same age (goku's trips into the time chamber and afterlife aside), but according to the timeline on that wiki, goku's 3 when bardock ships him off to earth, and broly's 2!

seriously... i think it uses that one manga where goku's mother is shown as the base for that info, which i thought there was some question about it's legitimacy within the official canon.

frankly, DBZ Abridged is more factual than that wiki...

heck, i found a post on GAMEFAQS that was more accurate! GAMEFAQS!!!
