I thought about something. Everyone I've seen so far wants to deny Broly's existence as a canon character and they throw quite a bit of doubt on Super making him official.
And you know what? Maybe they're right. But this does beg the question though. The LSS Form is indeed a canonical form and as by extension, so to is the existence of a Legendary Super Saiyan.
This fact is proven by Cauli in U6. So if Broly's not canon, then who is the U7 Legendary Super Saiyan?
I think MasakoX theorized that it's Pan but I think they would have to be a full blooded saiyan. It just makes sense to me.
Thoughts?

It's Broly. Even if his movies are alternate universes it doesn't mean 100% of what you see in them is. They are diverging universes: Goku is still Goku, his friends are still the same, history, world, etc. Only events are different.
Broly most likely exists or existed in the main timeline, but simply never interracted with the gang. Perhaps he never survived his stabbing as a baby, or something else.

We don't know though if it's indeed a canonical form or if they introduce it as being something brand new that just has some outward resemblance to what Broly had. Remember, the V-Jump design for the character shows some differences between what form she's in and Broly's. The initial, white eye state she's in when she first transforms in the opening could be no different than Trunks when he first transformed to Ssj 3rd Grade in Z or to "Ssj Rage" in Super, and as we've seen in movie 10, Broly's normal hair color in his transformed state is the usual yellow, not the green from movie 8 (the green was seemingly a by-product of the mind-control device Paragus used).
So we have her using some form that bulks her up to an extent and makes her physically grow in size in stature, and really that's it when it comes to resemblances to Broly's form. After, it is missing the constant "white eyes" and the hair color doesn't really fit.
I feel that what Caulifla is going to end up being is a nod to Broly's transformation but not actually be the Legendary Ssj form. Perhaps some mutation to the Ssj form or something along those lines, but not the actual "every thousand years" Ssj form.

I would consider Gohan as almost a legendary super saiyan. With his potential, it is even implied he can still surpass Goku and Vegeta even in God form.
