With potential like this, and at this rate of growth, it's conceivable she could reach Super Saiyan Blue at the tournament. Anyone want to bet against that?
Normally I would take issue with a character increasing this fast, but screw it, I like Caulifa and Super's powerscale is broken anyway so why not.
Why is she a threat to Goku specifically? Goku is kind of a joke considering literally every other relevant Saiyan, barring maybe Vegeta (and even Vegeta achieved the God forms with more ease), achieves transformations faster and easier than he does.

There are some many other Saiyans in the series that are really ahead of the curve compared to him in terms of achieving SSJ forms, that I'm surprised there are people that are so up in arms about Caulifla becoming a SSJ and a SSJ2(?) as easily as she did.

Frost is at least as old as Freeza, so he should have been around for a long time.
Yeah, and that's why U7 is a shithole whilst U6 is apparently thriving.
I got the impression that Universe 6 Saiyans are a little more able to ascend their forms, from that "tingling back" thing. The Universe 7 Saiyans have to get really angry to achieve Super Saiyan.
I wouldn't call other Saiyans a threat to Goku and Vegeta at the moment.

A true hero goes beyond not the limits of power, but the limits that divide countries and people.
Keep in mind that it's heavily implied that Saiyans in universe 7 never really trained and only got stronger if they lost and were fortunate to survive and get a zenkai boost. Goku was insanely weak as a child and got trained up once his programming was gone.
To our knowledge Vegeta's first time training was when he went off planet to prepare for the Androids and he pushed himself to SSJ at that point. The next time he trained he pushed past even that. Then he spent 7 years doing some training where he increased enough to be better than a less strong Gohan. Then the next time he trained was likely with with Whis.
It looks like Saiyans in universe 6 are far more amendable to training.
She doesn't know Kaioken, therefore immediately doesn't make her a threat even if she gets SSGSS. Plus Goku has been teased to get a new power up/form.

Gokuu is also the most powerful U7 fighter, so the statement would imply that she'd be a larger threat to the rest of the team
She'd probably end up jobbing to Broly Kale, though.

I think OP meant her potential is a threat to Goku, meaning down the line. Not necessarily that she'll be a threat in the Tournament of Power.

Caulifa is not in the Super opening.
Wasn't talked about in media until about a week before the she debuted in the Anime.
Currently has no toys out, while we already seen pics of upcoming Kale toys.
If she was really a threat to the strongest guy in U7, they would hype her more than Kale.

Hit doesn't know Kaioken either and he beat Goku with Kaioken just from improvement. I'm saying Cailifa's level of improvement is so extreme she probably could improve her way to match Goku Blue Kaioken. Base to Super Saiyan 2 in 3 hours is unprecedented. There are a few hints as well. Cabba might be the mirror opposite of Vegeta as he knows the Galic gun. Caluifa might be the mirror opposite of Goku as her hair at ssj2 is styled after his.

The High Priest says something to that effect in episode 91. That their power rivals one another because they're a pair.
Even if she had the power to match Blue Goku, Goku(without kaioken) would defeat her because he is more skilled and experienced, Cauliflas arrogance will be her downfall in the tournament.
Far as I can tell she isnt a threat to him, she was only able to get the forms instantly, while yeah thats a big deal, but she got it through a weird trick by tingling her back or something like that, I dont know why but its fairly easy for these saiyans to transform when they know the trick to it, take Gotenks for example, just seeing SSJ3 upclose and a few details about it was enough for him to transform into it. I'd rather take Goku's hard gained forms with tension and drama than the new gens instantly dishing it out tho. For some reason while I imagine a Cauli V Goku will happen in the ToP, she will be humbled by him and may eventually even call him 'aniki' its a term used by gangsters/yakuza or something like that, it means big bro not in the literal sense but as someone they look up to/admire.
She's probably give Goku more of a good fight in his lower forms besides Blue. But overall, I don't really see her as a legitimate threat to Goku. She'll probably be taken out quite easily by other characters in the tournament.
