I understand Super Saiyan 3 being dropped cuz of the stamina issues but why 2?
Why Goku or Vegeta aren't using it as SSB 2 or something? Back in the Cell arc it was said it is the perfect form all of them tried to reach during the training... But suddenly it isn't cuz of BoG saying SSJ is the form to train?
If true why is Goku even using SSJ2 so much in Super... Against Black or Ultimate Gohan for example if regular SSJ might be the better one. Or does that mean he still hasn't mastered regulat SSJ which makes no sense if we go back to Cell saga and FPSSJ
OK why not using Super Saiyan 2 instead?
Re: OK why not using Super Saiyan 2 instead?
I won't really find the proof website or whatnot because I'm too lazy, but our boy Toriyama said in an interview that Goku would probably, PROBABLY, not use SS2 or SS3 anymore because those are just exagerations of the Super Saiyan power, and so they strain the body a lot. Super Saiyan is enough.

And he is still using itMisirius wrote:I won't really find the proof website or whatnot because I'm too lazy, but our boy Toriyama said in an interview that Goku would probably, PROBABLY, not use SS2 or SS3 anymore because those are just exagerations of the Super Saiyan power, and so they strain the body a lot. I remember that interview, but has Super Saiyan 2 ever been shown to be a draining transformation in the anime or manga? Because it seems like a straight upgrade over Super Saiyan with no significant drawbacks in most depictions.

To be fair, ss2 has been used frequently since then.BlueBasilisk wrote:I remember that interview, but has Super Saiyan 2 ever been shown to be a draining transformation in the anime or manga? Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Re: OK why not using Super Saiyan 2 instead?
Here's an idea that might help. Super Saiyan Multipliers.
SS1 = 50 X Base
SS2 = 2 X SS1
SS3 = 4 X SS2
With that as the logic, let's call Base a power level of 1,000. So with that in mind:
Base = 1,000
SS1: 50 X 1,000 = 50,000
SS2: 2 X 50,000 = 100,000
SS3: 4 X 100,000 = 400,000
So with a Base power level of 1,000 a Saiyan can multiply that to 400,000 by entering Super Saiyan 3.
Now, let's look at it from another angle. We don't know much about Super Saiyan Blue's multipliers especially considering that it allows for so much freedom. We CAN assume however that it allows for a multiplier of X50 or higher. With that in mind:
Base = 1,000
SSB: 50 X 1,000 = 50,000
SSB Kaioken X10: 10 X 50,000 = 500,000
That's a difference of about 100,000. Why waste time trying to force SS2 and SS3 into SSG, when you can outdo them with Kaioken? This is also assuming that the SSB multiplier caps at 50, which all things considered, I doubt. That being said, an SSB2 multiplier could be even more useful than Kaioken X10. That being said though, Considering that he still uses SS2 when not using God Ki, and yet not when he DOES use God Ki, I'd say there's a pretty good reason, and the information I just posted could indeed be it.
