I too think he can predict the future, and uses it to his advantage. Not even the gods can predict the future.

This is true. Having a danger sense of precog with superhero abilities and some telepathic abilities since he's a Grey would be perfect.

I felt the same. Awareness and meditation go hand in hand. Premonition/spidey sense/seeing or knowing the future are all just different effects experienced by expansion of awareness. Now in anime anything is possible as far as how they portray Jiren and his abilities. They can describe it however they want but to me it is all awareness in action. A high level of awareness would be more than enough to defeat Hit's time skip and any other technique that is done by anyone that can't at least come close to jiren in awareness. To me a technique only works if it is outside the opponents awareness. It appears for now that attacking outside of jiren's is no easy task. It will be interesting to see how much of his abilities(awareness) they potray as an extension of power level. Super has subtly hinted that power level isn't everything which i like a lot.

Precognition is the more extraordinary option than Jiren simply anticipating the trajectory of his opponents' attacks. Something similar occurred in the anime rendition of the Ginyu Force fight when Goku appeared motionless as his opponents were unable to make contact with him because of his incredible speed. Jiren's motionless state just happens to be real instead of an illusion created by imperceptible movement.

Do you remember the conversation between Goku, Vegeta and Whis in RoF, Whis said "You are both slow, you think using your brain? You have to practice your body parts to think and move independent of other parts. It is not even accomplished completely by Beerus himself." Jiren have full control over his each and every part, which he don`t need to use his brain anymore. In fact if he uses his brain he will misjudge. Vegeta used his brain while fighting Hit in tournament. He thought if he move away from Hit, he can have some time to predict and move accordingly to dodge the attack. In the last episode (96) Jiren just stood their and gave the rest of the job to his parts. He may closed his eyes to prevent any disturbances.
