Japanese BGM remix

Post by Bejiita » Sat Aug 12, 2006 1:51 pm

Somebody has created a sick remix of the famous battle theme used in DBZ's Japanese version, the beat has been sampled and changed and it sounds awesome.

Check this out it's named Return of The Dragon.

I see absolutely nothing on there about such a song.

...I don't like it. It's not that I don't respect what they did, but I do prefer the original piece, by far. I just feel it's more appropiate and works better (as this piece happens to be one of my favorite DBZ Japanese themes), but considering their remix is seperate in intirety, I guess that statement holds no validity. Anyway, the piece is a very well paced and just good one by my view, to say the least.

For a moment my hopes were extremly. Since I didn't know what theme you were referring to, I was thinking 'Yay! Somebody finally did 'Dun Dun Dun!'

But yeah, I agree with LegendarySSJ7, it's not really that good. This isn't exactly a recreation of the song, it's more of a hip-hop styling of it. This would be good for those who amatuer rap (like a couple of my friends). But without words, it's just...empty.

Yea I suspected the fans here wouldn't think much of it.

It is basically made so somebody can vocal it for UK garage MC'ing, so it's natural you wouldn't really find it appealing, neither do I infact, I do think it sounds sick in the manner of the style of music I like, which is how the beat was made to suit, although compared to the original it's just a cheap chop up.

If anyone does happen to vocal it I'll post it in this topic to show you what type of music it is, for those who haven't heard.

Plus if anymore DBZ BGM's are remixed I'll post it here to show it off.

Actually, I thought it was ok. Good for those garage MC stuff, just not for those who like listening to it. But then, has anybody ever listened to instrumental beats? Don't think so.

How would they get it? I don't see how you could download it

The man who remixed the beat (Unique) is a member of a UK garage forum with a very localised London community. He has already had a few request's from people wanting to spit on it. I doubt it will be long before someone records over it.

I was suprised with some comments on the beat, a lot of people are amazed at the originality of the sound, and after hearing it's off of DBZ people couldn't reckognise it, mainly because it's from the original and people over there would have watched the dub.

Oh, and I'm sure there are ways of ripping tunes off of myspace my friend...

Wow, I didn't even think of that when I listened to it. [horrid, wicked laughter] This'll be fun! (*cough*I can't rap.)
What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

Well if you take a song with a tempo of 140 bps, just say the new Chamillionair one ridin' dirty or Ludacris - What's your Fantasy, they would go to this speed.

I love it.

I just love the fact that he took something from the orginal DBZ BGM and made a decent beat from it. I just really love the fact that someone out there actually done that. Maybe it's becuase I do listen Rap/Hip-Hop (although admittedly I haven't been big into the UK Garage scene for the past 3-4 years now) and obviously being into DBZ is why I like it so much while others ain't too keen on it.

Yea it's why I like it too, Japanese BGM and UK Grime go very well I think, there are many pieces that could be sampled like this has and it will sound good.

I gave this person the sample to make the beat, a person known as Unique, he remixes loads of other UK grime/Hiphop, and he really liked this and used it quick.

I hear the grime scene is quite big in Birmz anyway.

It was when I was really into it a few years back. I suppose it still is, I still go the occasional Garage dance, and there's still a good vibe around them, and plus there's always a decent Garage set in most Hip-Hop/R&B clubs.
