Herms' thread here explains it pretty thoroughly, and more!

Short end of it is:
Bottom half is Space (planets, stars, galaxies, and shit). Top half is the Afterlife (Enma's check-in station, all four Serpent Roads, Hell, all four Kaio planets, the Dai Kaio, Heaven, etc).
