New DBZ game listing at Gamestop

Post by Kodoshin » Fri Apr 16, 2004 5:44 pm

When I got to work today I decided to check the system to see if any new DBZ game info had shown up yet, and indeed it had.

We have yet another DBZ game scheduled for the Game Boy advance, "Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury" due in store on the 29th of September.

No further information was available yet though, just thought I'd mention it.

Sounds good, I wonder if this is going to be "Legacy of Goku 3"?

If it has the same leap in quality from LOG 2 that that game did from LOG 1, then it should be, well, the greatest game in the universe ever.

Yeah, no kidding... Such great things never happen, though. :(

Do we know anything about this game?

There wasn't anything listed for it yet under the additional information key at work, which isn't too unusual for a game that just showed up in the system. I too am hoping it's actually Legacy of Goku III.

The Gamestop site is taking pre-orders on it already, listing the genre as "fighting" but with Super Sonic Warriors coming out just 3 months before this game, I doubt they would release another fighter so close to that one.

I tried googling for it briefly, but found nothing.

If it is a LOG III, then I'm curious to know if we'll also get DB and GT versions of LOG.

Dragon Ball Z Summer

As DBZ fans will attest, there's no such thing as too much Dragon Ball. Atari obliges your insatiable desire with two new Dragon Ball Z titles for Game Boy Advance-- Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Warriors (shown here) and Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury. The games are being developed by Banpresto and WebFoot, respectively, and promise plenty of DBZ-style battling and adventure. Both titles are scheduled to hit store shelves this summer.

So, yeah.

As far as I know, Webfoot only does the LOG games, so... yeah.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I'll go for:

1/ Subtle, or

2/ Preproduction.
Romana: "I don't think we should interfere."
Doctor: "Interfere? Of course we should interfere! Always do what you're best at, that's what I say."
-Doctor Who: Nightmare Of Eden

Got to be pre-production. There's no way the company would let their designers get away with a bland cover like that.
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

There will be exciting Brand New Artwork behind it! Will it be?

1/ Goku (normal form) standing and holding his Nyoi-bo while looking moody?
2/ Goku (normal form) sort of flying/reaching forward with mouth open?
3/ Goku (Super Saiyan 2 form, possibly) flying forward with fist?

Or one of the many, many other pieces of Brand New Artwork that these games always get. New!

One of those, for sure.

I'm just happy I made a contributing post for once. As opposed to the 1117 (I checked) posts I've made about "kusari-gama! fangirl! guh!".

I'm trying to think if there are any other stock photos of Goku that get used for everything, but those are the main ones. Especially the nyoi-bo one. It's a good thing it's cool looking, otherwise I would do horrible, horrible things to it.

If you noticed the Gamestop branding on the box, those are what we call "Res Boxes", i.e. no official artwork is yet available but we put that out in the store so that customers who might not know about the title bring it up to the counter, and then we convince them to reserve the game.
