I apologize if this has been discussed before, however, I searched for a similar topic and wasn't able to find it.
Throughout DBZ, the art style changed drastically from the Saiyan Saga compared to the Buu saga (as you all likely know). In the beginning, characters had rounder facial features and bodies. The muscles weren't as accentuated and the hair was less defined. Does anyone know why Mr. Toriyama changed his style of art? Did he ever explain why?

Because he and every artist would naturally develop their art style over a 10 year period.

Not to backseat moderate, if you will, but there's already another thread in regards to the animation styles (and their changes; minimal or immense) of Dragonball/Z/GT:

Which I find more appropiate for the matter.
