This is a screenshot from the upcoming episode and I hope that it wasn't just me who saw this and thought that, because that is cool. Where's Yusuke when you need him?

I see that - your avatar is telling me the whole story XD
Goku has used a finger projectile before when he detached the Saiyan kids, Gohan and Piccolo from the attachment pods in Buu. Could that be what he's shown using in that still image?

Is there a name for that attack? I'm sure the wiki has it somewhere, but I'm lazy af. And, I think it to be 100 million times cooler to refer to it as the Spirit Gun.
I can't find anything particularly unique about it. It's a widely utilised ability that multitudes of characters use, even non fighters like Moori are capable of using it. You can label it in the same general category as generic ki blasts.
I love that he's using the Spirit Gun. I also love seeing Goku in his different forms while battle damaged and with his blue undershirt. He looks really awesome with just his blue undershirt.

Agreed. That’s why I like his EoZ gi the best. I’m hoping we get to see that soon.
Twilight: My library?! My library!! Do you have any idea how many books I had in there?!
Lord Tirek: How many, little princess?
Twilight: Over NINE THOUSAND!!!

I too love his EoZ gi. I really want to see him go through a few sagas with just that outfit.
Neat shot. Neat trick. I'll need to see more of it.

A true hero goes beyond not the limits of power, but the limits that divide countries and people.
Someone beat Vegeta to it:

It seems that Goku learn that Ki based attack from personal experience.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.
