Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
Should UI be the last transformation Goku gets and he just has to focus on improving his base to keep growing or do you want higher levels ala Super UI or something ?
Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
I don't see much foundation for any more transformations unless the studio and/or Toriyama decided to adapt old forms like SSJ2/SSJ3 into blue or mesh together such states into others. We've already had the mechanics of Super laid out with a new form of ki. From a first glance I'm not sure where else you can take things in terms of transformations. I would hope they choose to build upon what they already have. Goku has only just touched the surface when it comes to Ultra Instinct. He should be able to reach into new dimensions of power now, the most obvious being the angels and perhaps eventually Daishinkan himself.

No, Goku should unlock even more powerful forms.
Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
No. Super Saiyan 2 should be his final transformation.ToshioWrites wrote:Should UI be the last transformation Goku gets
Somebody drops Goku off a cliff and make sure that he hits his head on a rock again so that he can forget everything that comes after Super Saiyan 2, please.
Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
I think it should. Best case scenario is that at the end of Super Goku can fight at his best in his base form.

UI is a technique like Kaioken so it can't be his last transformation when it's not one to begin with. I'd like Blue to be his last Ssj form but with how long modern DB is going to go on there's no way it will be.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

But Goku's Super Saiyan 2 is terrible and immemorable form. Why not just normal Super Saiyan?Grimlock wrote:No. Super Saiyan 2 should be his final transformation.ToshioWrites wrote:Should UI be the last transformation Goku gets

Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
No. Super is far more a merchandise show and as we all know transformations sell like hotcakes, so go wild with them.
Lets see how far we can take this.

Not "this". In order for Goku to use the Ultra Instinct technique, he has to transform. His base form changes, therefore, it is a transformation.Hawk9211 wrote:This .

And all the successive forms are far more effective and also stronger than SSJ2 as well.Grimlock wrote:Super Saiyan 2 is far more effective and stronger than Super Saiyan, it doesn't have to be memorable.JazzMazz wrote:But Goku's Super Saiyan 2 is terrible and immemorable form. But they're also a bunch of terrible new colors and recolors. Golden is all that we need. They also just add to amount of Saiyans transformations, no need for that race to have so many.
Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
No.
I would like them to add to the Ultra Instinct though. There's something of a speculation that Goku has the Ultra Instinct Defensive version and that there's also a Ultra Instinct Offensive version (which Vegeta will supposedly get).
I kind of like that idea. They could probably build on it as he further master's it that he gets more abilities from it.

SSJ2 was quite memorable to me lolGrimlock wrote:Super Saiyan 2 is far more effective and stronger than Super Saiyan, it doesn't have to be memorable.JazzMazz wrote:But Goku's Super Saiyan 2 is terrible and immemorable form. Why not just normal Super Saiyan?
Actually SSJ1, SSJ2 and SSJ3 were all three memorable. God and Blue not so much.
UI very memorable too, but I don't see why we should stop there, I love new transformations.

For story purposes, yes. I feel Ultra Instinct should be the be-all and end-all of forms for Goku. I mean, this is form that allows Goku to fight a mortal stronger than a Hakaishin. How can you get any higher than this without Goku having the power to take on the likes of the Angel or Zeno? I can't help but feel that Ultra Instinct is the accumulation of all of Goku's hard work, as well as his dumb luck.

Re: Do you think UI should be the final transformation for Goku?
I agree with this. To add onto this, I think they should continue with the trend of the form getting harder and harder to obtain, that way, they reduce the screen time of the form to only key moments and allow it to maintain its prestige. I think that would be getting around the form being overused, as many fans felt Super Saiyan Blue was. Besides, UI is still a form that can be improved upon and further mastered, and with it being so hard to access, that means Goku will have to further develop the form mid-fight, which could lead to some interesting dynamics during battles as Goku has to improve his UI to overcome a particularly challenging opponent.Lord Beerus wrote:For story purposes, yes. So do I, that's why other people should get it too. Where's the red-eyed transformation for Piccolo?PsionicWarrior wrote: I love new transformations.

You are right but kaioken is not considered a transformation normally.Grimlock wrote:Not "this". In order for Goku to use the Ultra Instinct technique, he has to transform. His base form changes, therefore, it is a transformation.Hawk9211 wrote:This .

Kaioken is not a transformation, his base form/physical appearance doesn't change at all. His body appears red because it's engulfed by the aura that the technique emanates. It's just the lighting of the technique that makes the body red (to make things easier, it's like when people get different hair or eyes color when exposed to the sun, it doesn't mean they have that color).
That's why even Ultimate and the red-eyed forms are transformations, they legitimately change something in the body.
