problem with Vob files

Post by Sun_Wukong » Wed Sep 13, 2006 2:01 pm

I seem to be doing this all wrong, so Ill try to explain what's going on. I can edit vob files in Virtualdub just fine, my problem seems to be with Premiere. Premiere wont recognize the files i converted to avi. I ended up encoding the avi files into mpeg and they work fine in Premiere. I'm sure there's an easier way to do this, am I missing something here?

Well first of all, what's the video resolution? What's the codec of the *AVI files? What's the frame rate of the *AVI's? What frame rate are you editing at?
The more information you provide, the more help you will receive.

I'm doing 640x480, and the codec is Huffyuv. Thats all I changed.

The way I edit in Premier in not with individual avi files, I use AVS scripts. Basically you put your VOBs into DGIndex (part of the AMVapp) and it converts them into d2v files. Then you write out a simple script saved as a .avs file and that will import fine into Premier. It's all in the Ermac and Absolute destiny amv guide.
