Really? They're slim? Can you post a pic of the boxes side by side? I'm just wondering what it looks like. Also, the box art is the same right?

Word life. I was so tempted to buy it, I had it in my hand for like 15 minutes. I eventually put it down cause I already have these movies. I just wanted them for the slim cases, and because it was only like $20.00.

I go through some odd thinking sessions while trying to justify buying something I already have. My logic today was that it was only $20.00 and I spend almost that much on breakfast and lunch and today I only had breakfast so it was only like half price in a way...right? RIGHT?

I just bought it. I actually think 10 and 11 are among the worst DB movies, but I can't complain since I really like 8 and I got the whole set for $19.99.

 Hey, you don't need to justify it to me. I own doubles of each Budokai game, just because I wanted to see how it was on GC and GH. I'd probably be tempted to buy these movies again, and stick the others in my closet or something...

I already have movies 8 and 10, so I guess I'll just have to find someone willing to sell their copy of movie 11 for... pretty dang cheap. I'm sorry, but movies 10 and 11 just aren't worth getting at retail proce :?.

And as long as they don't do the same thing with the upcoming season set, I'm fine with the thin discs thing. (I want my fold-out book format, darnit!) FOB format would've been cool with this release, but yeah, I'm not buying it so whatev .

That's interesting, slim cases? That was not expected lol. I think I'm going to just stop buying FUNimation dvds for about a year or two. *sigh I wanted to have all the dvds before I was 18 though...=P Whyy FUNimation?! stop screwing with us!

Not an issue with me, becuase I already own all 3 movies, and converted them to thin cases (just like all my other DB DVDs.)

It's a good thing for those who haven't bought these movies yet, though. :D
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

lol. I knew I should've waited to get this instead of the individual releases, oh well.

And whats with hating movie 10-11? I personally like them more then most because they feature Trunks and Goten as the main characters.

That's the thing; they're in there too much. I'm a huge fan of Goten and Trunks, but not when they're whoring up the spotlight like in 10 and 11. I think they're better off when they aren't in your face so much like in 12 and 13.

10 is not really a good movie, but I love 11. It is a fun romp that lets the secondary characters have the spotlight. In paticuler Krillian and #18.

As for 10, I just could not get past Brolli not killing Goten, Trunks and Videl on the spot. After the first movie where he trashes Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks at the same time.

I really did enjoy movie 11, more the dub than the sub to tell you the truth. The VAs were awesome and the writing was more superb than movies 10 and 12. Seeing that the dub kept the mistranslation puns and Trunks' biotechnology instances alone prove how good it is. The dub replacement BGM wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be, but yeah, I'd still have preferred the Japanese BGM (c'mon FUNi, you gotta be getting an international track with both Japanese music and sound effects). Finally, FUNi removing Bio-Broly's one instance of "Kakarrot-o!" was actually an improvement to me, I mean this is a clone, not a duplicate incarnation (Piccolo = Piccolo Daimao).

Regarding movie 10, maybe Broly was still weakened from his battle with Goku on New Vegeta? I mean he just came out of a Jason X cryo-stasus and the scar on his chest was very fresh, so that may explain quite a bit. But hey, the Broly movies are non-canon, so who knows.

And hey, I don't see why Vegetto EX would reject movie 11's dub. The only character that had an Ocean VA in this movie is Krillin, and I'll be damned if Sonny Straight isn't just as entertaining in delivery and such in the character. EX would probably only have to put up with Sean Schemmel in the end, and he's in classic "Goofy Goku mode".

I rewatched them for the first time in awhile. Movies 10 and 11 weren't as bad as I remembered, but they're still bottom of the barrell DBZ movies. Movie 11 didn't really... feel like a DBZ movie, more like a Dragon Ball movie. There were all these criminals and scientists walking around. It was odd.

Movie 10 just made a complete joke out of Broly IMO.

I don't have any of the 3, so once I get a job, I'll probably pick up this box set and Dragon Fist all in one shot.

C'mon, interview at Target on monday!

Thats one of the reasons I loved it.

I've noticed in some online pics of the set that the box seems pretty thick. I'm guessing that the release set is significantly thinner? I mean, three discs is the equivelant to like 1 1/2 regular cases.

Okay, I'm curious. Can someone take a pic of this or something (Yeah, it'll probably be wierd taking a picture in a store, but I'm curious!).

The second one was by far the worst.

I'm unable to get a picture, but have you ever seen the Family Guy DVD sets? It's a lot like that. If you haven't seen it then... sorry I couldn't be of better help!
