What was this forum like before?

Post by DaemonCorps » Mon Sep 18, 2006 1:23 pm

For those of you who've been on this forum since the peak of the series' popularity, how was this forum like back then? I'm guessing that there were more discussion threads on DVD releases, as well as more newbies out there who needed their facts set straight. Can anyone out there shed some light on the topic?

I've only been running this forum since January 2004... two and a half years doesn't seem all that long to me, these days...

We had an old EZBoard waaaaaaaaay way back in the day, and it was a pretty disgusting place :). But fun. I guess. I don't remember much, because I've seemingly purged all memories of pre-rebirth...

Well I'm glad it's as it is now. It's the only forum on the internet that I can actually stand. I can't even stand to lurk, let alone post on any of them.

Yeah, I actually feel most at home on this forum, since it seems like everyone is competent grammar-wise. :D

Just search for the daizex site on the Internet Wayback Machine, and click the message board...

I don't know if that is what it is called or not, but I go to the MFG Boards, and at one time one of the Board Founders posted up what the old MFG's looked like. (Now we're up to like version 4, 5, or 6. I don't really remember.) Don't remember how they did it though because it wasn't like a ScreenShot, for you could actually go back and read some of the old threads, it was pretty cool.

P.S. After being on hiatus for 20 days, I'm back.

Is there really any need for the Wayback machine? Can't you just click back a dozen pages? I wasn't aware that any pruning was going on.

Honestly, it wasn't that long ago. The only real difference is that I was actually able to read every single post made on the boards. Nowadays I read a fraction of a percent of what goes on, and only click on topic titles that interest me.

So uh, don't title your topic "I have a question" if you want people like me to read it...
