I feel like the number 1 reason people would cite for him not taking the job is "he wouldn't want to leave his family". However Beerus pretty much sleeps all the time or hangs out at Capsule Corp anyways. I feel like Vegeta could chill at home the vast majority of the time and let Shin cultivate more life and then when someone/something needs to be destroyed, he can just quickly do it and then come back home.
Not saying this will happen but can anyone see him taking the position or would like to see that be the end of his story when Goku and Vegeta are no longer the two main guys?

Re: Vegeta becoming God of Destruction
I can't see Vegeta even possessing that "Destruction" Ki. It's just not THE Vegeta of DBS. I mean, he's not immoral and boastful as he was in the past when he was under Frieza. His character development has changed drastically from Z to Super. There's just noway Vegeta would claim to be the next GoD. In fact, I think Vegeta could surpass that GoD power pretty soon if they continue Super after the up-coming movie. But, overall, Vegeta doesn't need to be a GoD because he is already GOD level imo.

Even if Vegeta wanted to become one, I don't think Bulma would allow him to go destroy a planet.
I'm sure Whis would want him to be though, only so he can stay on Earth with Bulma eating food all day.

Re: Vegeta becoming God of Destruction
At first it made sense for him or even Goku to try and take one of those high positions but with Goku already surpassing the destroyers and Vegeta not that far behind, they might as well just rewrite the rules of the universe by overthrowing the grand priest and everyone below him. Goku and Zeno are best friends so it wouldn't be that hard to move him and Zeno 2.0 to earth while he and Vegeta take care of everyone below them.

I don't think Vegeta would become a Hakaishin simply because he doesn't care too much for having an occupation, he's lived on Earth for over a decade and still hasn't gotten a job or pursued any interest outside of training. He likes his freedom from social obligations or any responsibilities towards the functions of the world or even the universe, Vegeta's family(Bulma, Trunks, & Bra) is rich anyways and well taken care of so he gets to skate away from everything except being an occasional stay-at-home husband and father.
Would Vegeta even want to be a mass killer anymore? He demonstrated remorse just for killing a few hundred people so I imagine that killing billions of beings might wreck his conscience. Beerus at least has the excuse of having no friends, family, or emotional connections to any world in the universe(except for Earth) thus it doesn't bother him.
