Concerning USSJ

Does anybody have the japenese chapter where Trunks realizes (thanks to Cell) that USSJ2 is useless? I want to know what he says (whole friggin' discussion and solliloquies (SP?) please) in the original japenese chapter, because I got the impression (in the french version) that Trunks felt Vegeta probably COULD go USSJ2 (but just knew what it wasn't worth doing) and that USSJ 1+2 are the same 1 stage, just that USSJ1 was halfway into it, and that USSJ2 was full power. (IE: The real USSJ = whatever we call USSJ2, and what we call USSJ1 is actually half of the real USSJ)

God I hope that made sense. Somebody just please translate the chapter for me.

I'm replying to my own message instead of editing because I have a whole new thing to add in order to back up my position:

Trunks says when he reached USSJ1, he immediately knew he could go another level but didn't so as to not humiliate Vegeta.

Goku feels the same when he first reaches USSJ1, and actually verifies his assumtion on the spot by actually going USSJ2 then and there.

Maybe Vegeta had the same impression when he first went USSJ1, but got the idea that USSJ2 would be worthless since USSJ1 alone took up so much energy and already reduced his speed.

Any thoughts?

This is kind of confusing but I beleave that none of them really had any thoughts against going up to the next level and I guess that Trunks does indeed realize that its useless after fighting Cell awhile.

What? Goku said it was totally useless. That's why he+Gohan never used it and switched to staying normal SSJ all-day long. Trunks realized it was useless after Cell told him how it slowed him down so damn much, and then that's when Trunks hypothesized that Vegeta came to the assumption on his own and never bothered trying to reach USSJ2.

I think that's how the Anime went as well. At least the Dub. Trunks finding out USSJ2 is worthless and then realizing that his father probably figured that out while still training.

So does anybody else feel that USSJ 1 and 2 are two parts of the same stage though? Where "USSJ2" is the level beyond SSJ (I'll call it that to avoid further confusion) and USSJ1 is simply The Level Beyond SSJ at 50%?

That's how I've always thought of it. That USSJ2 is just pushing in a lot of power to USSJ, which in turn, is just pushing a lot of power into SSJ. I've never seen it as a transformation but a powering-up of SSJ to beyond it's normal limits.

It would explain a lot as to why they're called "Suupa Saiya-jin Dai 2 Dankai" and "Dai 3 Dankai". It's like daizex's "Super Saiyan 1, Super Saiyan 1 Level 2, Super Saiyan 1 Level 3" thing that they had.

What I want is to see the chapter's wording so I can know this for sure.

I seem to remember in the anime it was Cell that told Trunks that Vegita obviously knew about the handicaps that USSJ would cause. Or was that just in the dub version? Oh, by the way Dayspring, you did spell "solliloquies" correctly.
