I don't how to say this, but I find it concerning that another Universal World Tournament will play out and it will be highly likely that Jiren might the upper hand at this. Simply because he no insolence into losing Universe 7 like he lost for inspire.
Honestly, I expected all universes to be merged into one, but I am mixed with that. If that's the writers forte, I guess we'll see another chance at maybe a decent aspiring battles awaiting for us next time on Goku's quest. Impressed if every Universe, even those erased, had been merged into one for a unique and peaceful conflict-resolution for the Universes disdain at each other.
And what's more unintended, is the fact that Freeza is back and alive. Ready to return as the Emperor for the Universe he tormented and abused for decades. In the meantime, I hope his distension will be as much more deserving than it was back in Z.

The ending of the Tournament of Power arc was not really 'bittersweet'. As the name suggests, 'bittersweet' ending is an ending 'containing a mixture of sadness and happiness'. That ending only had happiness. Literally everyone, from the freaks of Universe 2 to the Pride Troopers, was happy. Even Frieza was happy thanks to Whis. Sure, there might be another Tournament of Power in the future, but the fate of universes won't be at stake anymore. The King of All never cared about erasing the weak universes, that was just a trick to make the mortal fighters battle seriously. He only cared about proving that mortals are kind, virtuous, noble, gentle etc. All that boring stuff. Which he did prove, in the end, otherwise the entire Multiverse would be Future Trunks' timeline 2.0 now.
Speaking of which, a true bittersweet ending is that of the Future Trunks arc. Because there was happiness, of course, as the good guys defeated the big meanie bad guy, yay, and they all celebrated together. But there was also a lot of sadness; I mean, everyone and everything Future Trunks swore to protect are gone. The souls of Future Bulma/Vegeta/Gohan/Goku etc. are all erased from existence alongside Infinite Zamasu. There is no coming back for Trunks' family and world -- and he knows it. In fact, he cried a lot and outright stated that he 'failed to protect his world'. He is now forced to spend the rest of his life in an alternate future timeline where he will constantly be reminded of the fact that he failed to protect his real people, and his real family. Just by looking at the Bulma of that new alternate future timeline, he will be remembered of his real mother, whose soul was erased from existence.

Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

What’s bittersweet about it? Everyone was happy and alive in the end, even Freeza.

Nope, it was a fairytale ending.....and they all lived happily ever after.
