Would Bobbidi have possessed Vegeta no matter what?

Everyone acts as if vegeta allowed babidi to possess him. My question is could Vegeta have resisted babidi if he really wanted to ?or would babidi have been able to possess him no matter how hard Vegeta tried to stop the process?

Vegeta already demonstrated that he can choose what he wants to do even after being possessed so the answer is no.

Under normal circumstances, no. If Babidi could somehow restrict Vegeta's emotional spectrum by manipulating the blood flow in his amygdala and ventral striatum then what exactly could the Saiyan Prince do to stave off external mental dominance? Pride is the single most resistant component of Vegeta's psyche that enables him to persist. Take that away and what does he do then?

Vegeta, while under Babidi's magic mind control, didn't take a single order from Babidi himself. If he had the mental capacity to fight back and retain his conscious even while under Babidi's magic, then it goes to show that Vegeta's mind is a steel trap that cannot be entered unless he allows it to happen. (Which he did initially)

Vegeta opening his mouth is what cause him to fall under Babidi's control. If the fight between Dabra and Gohan went on longer, Goku vs. Majin Vegeta would have never happen and Buu would have never been awoken. It was Dabra's idea to have Babidi to control him in the first place.
