New Soundtrack Coming in December

Post by Tsukento » Mon Oct 30, 2006 12:56 am

Dunno if this has been posted yet, but I spoted something on Play-Asia.

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-mb- ... 43-9v.html

The name of the soundtrack is calld "Dragon Ball Z Best New Mix 2006." It's listed at a price of $24.90, with a release date set for December 20, 2006 (just in time for Christmas). There's nothing revealed as of yet, aside from the title.

My guess is that they'll be remixing older music with a 2006 feel to them, similar to the previous remakes of the openings and important songs.

Heh, I just noticed this. :P

Nice tidbit. I might pick it up, but then again, the 2005 versions of the theme songs were kinda sub-par, especially when compared to the originals. The arrangements, especially, were pretty poor...

Then again, if it has MIND POWER, Boku-tachi and Hikari no Willpower, I might just pick it up.

That's great news.

I did some research in order to find more information, but I only found two online shops that have a tracklist. I have never heard about these shops and don't know whether their information is reliable.

And then there is this short text on Neowig. http://www.neowing.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=COCX-34074
As far as I understand it, it says something like: There are 182 Songs related to the super popular anime series DragonBall Z. Out of those a best selection of the TV and movie themes was made and the songs were remixed with some special technique (multi tape something).

Pssh.
This is exactly what I mean when I say the vocal songs get pounded into the ground. No BGM???
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

I actually liked Cha-La Head Cha-La 2005 and thought that was a brilliant take on some great songs. I'm gonna be watching this one =D

Although I'm mostly in it for these three favorite
9. Saikyô no Fusion
10. Ore ga Yaranakya Dare ga Yaru
11. Boku-tachi wa Tenshi Datta

I am sure I will be killed for necroposting, but I didn't want to open another thread for this cd.

I found the cd release list at the Nippon Columbia Hompage and compared the information to the one postet at other shops. The tracks differ and there are 14 tracks listed instead of 12.
So the new list should be correct (after all it's provided by Nippon Columbia ^^").

They took out 'Aoi Kaze no HOPE', 'Kiseki no Big Fight' & 'Saikyô no Fusion'?! Well that's dissapointing! The only new song I like is Ikusa.

They took out 'Ore Ga Yarankya Dare Ga Yaru' too >.<

I've pretty much got no reason left to purchase this. Darn.
