It might have to do with that mind control device or just the lighting. Thats all I got.'Broli', 'Brolly', and 'Brollie'. :)

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.

I always believed it was because of the mind control device.

Just looking at your avatar, I think he's in his base form. When he goes super saiyan with the device, he has a greenish tone to his hair. That's probably why movie 10 is my favorite because Broli isn't as confusing. :)

If your talking about his base form's hair being purplish in Movie 8 then it's most likely the lighting. I remember it being black... Brolly's hair when he went psudo-Super Saiyan was a purplish blue in colour. I too am of the opinion that it was due to the device restraining Brolly. When Brolly goes nuts he summons enough power (and willpower) to purposefully destroy the head device and go full power. I think the green hair was not the lighting but had something to do with recovering his long lost power because by Movie 10 when he returns to full power again, Brolly's hair is the usual golden yellow.

Being too lazy to look back at the movie, I remember his hair being pinkish during his power-up in Paragus' flashback right before he strikes his eye. Like the rest of you I think part of the reson is because of the mind control device.

Though I also think part of the reason could be because of the planet's atmosphere. Paragus did say something in both the sub and dub about the planet being pretty polluted.

And of course, the out of world answer would be because of the animating style. I remember Goku's hair being 'shined' blue during his night fight with Brolli. All that's left is Vegeta's red highlights and we've got ourselves a 50 minute long video game opening that happens to have a story. [/bad attempt at humor]

I think it's just his hair tint. They've all got hair tints when the light's right. Goku's is blue, Vegeta's is brown, and Brolly's is purple.

Vegeta having brown hair only existed within the first couple of episodes of DBZ and for some perverted reason in intros and character art of the Budokai games (similar with Goku's blue hue)

I believe it's been stated that all full blooded Saiyajin have black hair, providing they have hair (unlike Nappa, poor guy).

Because Dragonball is not capable of generalizing...

I believe that Saiya-jin's have very slight variations to their hair color that only shows through tints. Does it have any deep significance? No. But we cannot deny that it is there. No, this isn't cannon I guess but since the topic is about Broli I'm sure it applies.

Just how does Broli keep his hair so shiny, full, colorful, and healthy?

Why, the answer is obvious!

Yeah, I'm going with Kaboom's theory. It's the L'Oreal.

I don't think it has anything to do with tinting, although it's possible (As in Movie 10, during the Kamehameha scene, Goku's hair is tinted blue, and Broly's hair is tinted green as well. But I'm saying it's the device. It's the only explanation for why his hair is green in one movie, and yellow in two others.

Actually Nappa has hair but he shaved it because it looked ghoorible. (See the Bardock special)
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

Or he follows Kuririn in the belief that all people dedicated to the martial arts shave their heads as a sign of devotion. Sadly enough his pride on that was swept right from under his feet.

But thats an Earth religion though. Saiyans would probly not have Monkism.

But good point, nonetheless.
