How did it come about Spanish-speaking countries in the Americas use the same dubs?

There are so many Latin Spanish speaking countries yet they all just used the same dubs which seems kind of a shame. It would have been interesting if each one made their own dub and then compare to see how much better or worse they were (or just enjoy as it is).

You know, that logic couldn't be applied in Spain because there's like various "states" where people speak Galego, Català or Euskera and to them they either optionally learned Castellano (Traditional Spanish) or didn't.

This reminds me, FUNimation is doing the same for all English-speaking countries and then any alternate dubs get shit on because it's "The Worst English Dub!!" (don't forget to use a thumbnail of Goku vomiting).

Anyway, here's hoping Ocean Kai sees the light of day this year.

I don't really know. Here are my thoughts:

Usually TV networks are shared in Latin America, so they use the same dub in all of the countries. The big green dub exist because Toonami in the US and the UK are different channels, while in Latin America is the same channel.

Also, budget. Dubbing a show in for example Mexico and distributing it in the rest of Latin America is really cost effective. It gives the Mexican studio more money but saves money for rest of the Latin American countries, especially the poorer ones that doesn't have a budget for dubbing.

Well, many Latin American countries did get Cartoon Network Latin America, but if this website is to be believed, different countries had different channels where DBZ also aired.
