I'll try to make it short.
First of all: The show is aired on RTLII (or RTL2) and NOT RTL (that's a different channel).
Of course, the channel bought the license and the material from AB. So the dubbing studio based their recordings on the french dub (like in DBZ). >_>
A little prolog:
Although most of the standard voice casts for the three DB movies are the same as in DBZ (and most of them are crap), but they did cast a very good voice actress for the little Goku.
So, I had the hope, that they will cast the same voice actress (Ann Vielhaben) again. At least, that would be one good thing in the dub.
But they smashed all my hopes into pieces and cast a little boy for Goku! Hell, he is sooo bad. No experience in acting or dubbing. He mumbles all over the time, shows no emotions and his screams are as bad as HFIL!
The same counts for Pan. Her actress is also very young and a beginner.
The rest of the actors are almost the same as in DBZ and like I said in my old "DBZ in Germany" thread, most of them didn't fit the character at all.
At least, the scripts don't have thoses shitty stupid insults. Instead of that, they translate most of the french scripts pretty exactly. And that's horrible. Not so crappy like in DBZ, but it's shitty enough in my opinion. For example: Shenlong is often called "Sacred Dragon". "Big Green Dub" anywhere?

I mean, okay, I didn't believe that they would make a good dub. But this thing with Goku's actor kills my nerves!
BUT the biggest load of shit in the airing is, that they will not air all 64 episodes. The channel will only air 51 episodes. The episodes 29, 38, 46, 47, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61, 62 and 63 will not be aired. Why? Maybe the shit heads of RTLII are thinking that it's too violent. Naruto has been also butchered as hell (A LOT MORE than the US or UK version) and DBGT is the next candidate. They cut even harmless scenes like when Pan got shocked or the sword fight with Goku and...what was the name of the guy...Renjikuu or something?
Check out www.animedigital.de for more details. It's a shame and so absurd and ridiculous.
Well, the few good things for the German DBZ dub were the openings.
The DBGT Special (released on DVD in 2004, I believe) got a own very good version of "Dan Dan...". The instruments are a little bit cheap, but it has power and good lyrics. I like it very much.
But for the TV airing, RTLII ordered the same studio like for DBZ, to make a new version.
Mike mentiod it in the news. The instruments are not midi or something else cheap. Toyco (the studio for the songs) use a lot of guitar and real drums and so on for their versions.
That counts for their new "Dan Dan.." too, but thats the only good thing. The lyrics are so horrible, ridiculous and has pretty nothing to do with the original. For me, the lyrics take a big part for a good song and even if the instruments are good, I shudder when I listen to this.
They call it "Sorae". Funny, hu?! No "Hold my Hand" or something similiar, but "at least" some Japanese. Stupid, ridiculous...call it what you want, I don't like it.
The ending is self-made and...better I don't give a comment...
