SNL Dragon Ball Z Parody

Post by majinboogc » Sun Nov 12, 2006 4:05 am

I didn't catch all of it, but from what I saw, it included badly drawn Metal Cooler, Kyui, and Android 19. It also included scenes from the movies and a few of the early episodes. They also spoofed the ending theme for movie 13 "Ore ga Yaranakya Dare ga Yaru". It was about the dude that holds the record for eating hotdogs and him saving people by eating hotdogs and turning Super Saiyajin.

Did anyone else see it?

I tried looking for it on YouTube, but to no avail. I'd love to see this.

Dang... I was going to post this.

I thought it was friggin hilarious. The whole thing started out with "Cha-La Head Cha-La" and I was like "WTF? Windows Media Player isn't open!" And I looked up, and it was on SNL.

The whole thing was both extremely awesome and retarded at the same time.

BTW, don't expect to see it on youtube, NBC threw a big fit over "Lazy Sunday" being put up everywhere, so SNL stuff is off limits. It might be on the NBC site at some point though.

Although, I have the episode recorded on my Tivo... so if I can find the time tonight... and find my capture card, I can try to have it up for download sometime this week. Thats a BIG maybe though.

If you can somehow get it up, I'd love to see it. It figures this happens when I stop watching SNL. @_@

Anyone know if this episode will ever re-air sometime?
On hiatus.

I'll do my best to find my capture card tonight... I'll probably have to reinstall the software, cause I've not used it in forever, so I may have deleted it. XD

... Lets hope I can find the software CD...

It'll mostly be me finding a way to upload it over my crappy 28.8 kbps connection... hehe... maybe I can use a school computer.

As for when it'll re-air, probably over the holidays sometime. They're only 3 or 4 episodes into the new season, so they'll likely show it on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years... otherwise, it may be over summer hiatus, NBC isn't very consistent with their scheduling... they seriously repeated the SNL season opener 3 weeks after the original airing.

But, yeah, I'll try and get that up at somepoint. :D

Yeah, I saw it. It was centering around some hot dog eating guy, but I noticed that the Japanese was accurate, Funimation's DVD footage was playing in the background, they used some of Faulconer's BGM, and spoofed both Head Cha-La and Ore Ga Yaranakya Dare Ga Yaru...

Pretty funny when all the poorly drawn DBZ villains were cursing him. "DAAAMMMMNNNU!!"...

All in all, it looks like some folks at SNL are DBZ fans. :D
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

As for youtube, Ill see what i can do about getting it up. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge

Better hurry up and watch it before they take it down. this short was great though. i can't beleived they used both the original japanese soundtrack and Falcouner's music as well. seeing the clips in the background was great. and did anybody else catch Refrigerator Perry in there? i was so laughing my ass off at that! [/url]

Isn't that live-action guy from the Nathan's hot-dog eating competition from..I forget what state it's held in. He actually does look familiar.

It was held in Coney Island from when I last heard. Other than that, it seems Kobayashi's a Dragon Ball fan, then again, I'm not suprised. The Falcouner music scared me though. I honestly think they would've been better off just using Kageyama's stuff (or even Kikuchi for that matter).

Nice! Thanks for the upload Goshin and Hao_Kaiser. They should have used Kikuchi music as BGM for the parody.

Also, could it be that they used this as a way to prepare DBZ fans for tomorrows big news?

This is a bit far fetched, I know, but it would make sense.
