Thoughts on a DB Music Concert

Post by DaemonCorps » Fri Nov 24, 2006 5:30 pm

Listening through the JP BGM, I thought that it might be pretty fitting to have the music from the series performed in a concert type of way with a conductor, orchestra, and chorus. Hey, if they did it for video game BGMs, why not DB?

Then you're going to need a hell of an composer to do the orchestration because DBZ is not exactly rich in orchestral elements. Nevertheless, I would love a concert like that, as long as they don't perform it in its original form. Example: The theme from Super Mario Brothers recorded on one of the video game concert CDs sounded great after being orchestrated. DBZ orchestrated=fangasm :D .

Before that happens though, I'm still waiting for the DBZ themes to be arranged for video games so that they loop properly, damn it! And last longer as well!

I have always wanted to hear a lot of Faulconer's music done by an orchestra. I think some of his music is fantastic, its just poorly put together, if that makes any sense.

I would absolutely LOVE to hear his SSJ3 theme played by an orchestra.
