Was Beerus Appointed As Hakaishin Because He Was The Strongest Mortal In Ancient Times?
Seeing as people who are candidates for becoming the Hakaishin of their respective universes are generally strong as hell, is it possible that Beerus was among the best, if not the best that U7 has to offer 75+ million years ago? I wouldn't think that Beerus(and Champa) was just some random mook so obviously he would have had some strength to him before he became a divine being.

If Beerus was originally from Universe 7. He and Champa are brothers, so it stands to reason they were born in the same universe, so that means they both can't be native to the universes they are the respective Hakaishin of.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

Maybe?
Belmond was originally a pride trooper in his universe before he became a Destroyer. Belmond's apprentice, Top/Toppo, is a pride trooper of that universe as well. I believe Goku was offered to be a destroyer candidate by Whis at one point, which he turned down. These things seem to tell me that it's a position offered to strong fighters in the universe.
I wouldn't be surprised if Beerus and Champa (the twins) were born the Destroyers of their twin universes though. Maybe when the universes were created. Beerus seems super ancient.

Beerus and Champa were surely powerful mortals before they became gods. They would have had to gain the attention of the angels somehow. I'm not sure if there was another GoD before Beerus but it could be the case that he was recruited and trained by this individual just like Toppo was by Belmod.theherodjl wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2020 1:51 pm Seeing as people who are candidates for becoming the Hakaishin of their respective universes are generally strong as hell, is it possible that Beerus was among the best, if not the best that U7 has to offer 75+ million years ago? There's a lot of possibilities. Beerus could have been some kind of hero during his age or maybe even a conqueror similar to Frieza. Maybe he and Champa were at one point competing conquerors which is why they are both so strong and have such a bitter rivalry. Maybe they were simply orphans and were adopted by an angel or the previous GoD of U6, U7, or even another universe entirely at a young age. We don't even know what universe either of them originates from but it would have to be the same universe.
Big fan of the characters of Dragon Ball, all of them, especially formerly prominent sub-characters. -__-

This is how I read Beerus's position as well. As the two are used to illustrate the 'twinning' of their respective Universes in a way that none of the other Gods of Destruction do, it would make sense that they exist from the creation of their respective Universes.Peach wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2020 6:54 pm I wouldn't be surprised if Beerus and Champa (the twins) were born the Destroyers of their twin universes though. Beerus is at least over 200 million years old, not just 75 mil. As stated in episode 5 of Super. Do your research.theherodjl wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2020 1:51 pm Seeing as people who are candidates for becoming the Hakaishin of their respective universes are generally strong as hell, is it possible that Beerus was among the best, if not the best that U7 has to offer 75+ million years ago?
