The thing is that Freeza's voice would be one of the hardest to adapt to English as he has to sound menacing while also somewhat feminine, and the real problem is, is that it's hard to do both at the sametime or equaly rather.

Even as far as pro voice actors go there's only one English VA I can think of that could do it, given the feminine male voice he's able to use, and that's Richard Cansino who most anime fans probaly first heard in the dub of Ninja Scroll, where he played Yurimaru so I guess to me (think that voice if you know it) but "evil" or pitched down.

Thanks for the tips; I'm sorry but I have never seen that anime that you posted. I look up some audio clips for it and see if it will help.

I have always imagined Freeza usually having a calm attitude even while dealing with cruel actions. I've never invisioned his voice as really menacing; it's the indifferent tone that he gives even when murdering and torturing people that makes him so chilling.

I kind of think of his voice as a mixture of Scar from the Lion King and Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort; having a calm, cool quality, but occasionally lashing out in hostility.

Well as I said in the other forum, I like it for what that's worth. :P

Better than Funi voice actor, not as good as original Japanese.

Also if you really want advice on your voice acting, I know someone around here has a link to a different forum that is specifically tailored towards people who want to become VA's.

Oh, I'm quite aware of the status of those balls.. :o I don't mean to be a bother but the name "Frieza" hurts my eyes (no joke). Whatever happened to some good ol' fashioned Freeza, eh? Kids these days.. ;p
