If Kanzenshuu tries to stick more to accurate japanese translations rather than anything else, why is "God's Palace" the stablished translation for 神の神殿? 神 means "god", の means "of", 神 means "sacred"/"divine" and 殿 means "temple"/"palace"; this leads to a lot of ways to call it, like "God's Sacred Temple" or "Kami's Divine Palace", but it clearly shows that "God's Palace" is a pretty basic and incomplete translation.
PD: I don't want to be annoying, but I'd love if people stopped saying Kami's/God's "Lookout".

While the official style guide and terminology list for the site and its features may strive for accuracy to the original terms... it's not like we can expect everyone on the forum to adhere to that, if that's what you're talking about. Plenty of members here may simply have a lot of dub-based terms like "Kami's Lookout" ingrained, and either prefer them or just not care enough to train themselves out of it.

The "Lookout" part is just a small rant of mine that doesn't really matter; the objective with this was to change (or at least suggest to change) the translation of 神の神殿 from "God's Palace", which is a pretty basic translation that sounds like it would have been made by Funi if they didn't try to avoid religious stuff, to a more complete one; such as "God's Sacred Palace" or "God's Divine Palace", since there is no reason to not improve it.Kaboom wrote: Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:31 pm While the official style guide and terminology list for the site and its features may strive for accuracy to the original terms... it's not like we can expect everyone on the forum to adhere to that, if that's what you're talking about. "Temple" on it own is a very standard translation of 神殿, and most real world buildings called "(something) Temple" are called "(something)神殿" in Japanese. You're just overcomplicating a very common word here.BladeXRG wrote: Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:36 pm The "Lookout" part is just a small rant of mine that doesn't really matter; the objective with this was to change (or at least suggest to change) the translation of 神の神殿 from "God's Palace", which is a pretty basic translation that sounds like it would have been made by Funi if they didn't try to avoid religious stuff, to a more complete one; such as "God's Sacred Palace" or "God's Divine Palace", since there is no reason to not improve it.
