Tien is not human, according to canon

He is a descendant of an ancient race of three-eyed aliens, and would be considered gods. The third eye is a symbol of enlightenment and divinity in Eastern culture.

It's another forgotten plot element that's common in DB. But it does qualify Tien to fight in the Tournament of Power, and maybe even make him a potential god/angel candidate.

That was a catapult in logic.

Also while this is technically never contradicted, I believe it's treated with the lightest level of canonicity. It's not really anything you would know from watching the show and the knowledge is more like a neat trivia (that's over 20 years old) in a series that contradicts itself constantly.

Anyway. Him being a triclops doesn't make him qualified for TOP. His power and skill do.

The Fandom Wikia is not a source.

They may source other things, but just linking to a separate website without then also engaging in the actual, underlying sources does not provide great grounding for a real discussion.

What "canon", exactly? Who defined this canon? What sources say this thing? What contradictory and/or supporting statements are there, and where do they come from? What have you researched additionally throughout Kanzenshuu's archives?

I feel I ruffled your feathers. I apologize for that, I meant no insult.

I just saw a detail that I thought was intriguing and wanted to discuss it. I doubt it will get any attention or significance in the story at this point, but like with a lot of Dragon Ball, there's always room for expansion.

1) While it's fun to think about, just like Lapis & Lazuli, S-Cells, Dark Spirit Bomb, Ox King having a pl of 900, and other things, it's supplementary material for the ultimate hardcore fan, but is never mentioned in the series proper, just years to decades after the fact. So 'canonicity' is dubious

2) While yes, on our Earth, and Eastern mythology, those who have unlocked enlightenment are divine, there is absolutely nothing saying that in Dragonball Earth. Tenshinhan is a descendent of an alien race, not enlightened human, and was also training to be an assassin when he's first met, so not very god-like. Just because our Earth and their Earth have similar things, does not mean everything correlates.

3) Angels are a race all their own. And as far as we know, the only positions mortals can be gods in so far are Gods of planets (Kami, Dende) or Gods of Destruction, and I'm sure Krillin could fill those roles as easily as Tenshinhan if the story required it.
