Am I Nuts, or are There Two Slightly Different Variations of DBS - Super Hero Dub in Theaters ?

Okay so this might seem weird, and I could totally be misremembering, but I’ve seen Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero a couple times in theaters now. Twice dubbed into English and 3 times Subbed. I say this cause it could be totally possible that I’m mixing up dub dialogue with sub dialogue, but I just want to hear if anyone’s had a similar experience to what I’m about to say.

Anyway, I could have sworn when I first saw Super Hero,

Gamma 2 refers to Piccolo as “Demon King Piccolo” during their first encounter, to which Piccolo replies “I’m not a Demon King. Just call my Piccolo”.

I even saw Geekdom101 tweeting about this moment. But when I saw the film Dubbed again today,

the “Demon “part of that conversation between Piccolo and Gamma 2 was absent.

there’s this part on Beerus’ planet where water starts pouring on everyone because of Goku and Vegeta’s fight. When I first saw the film, I could’ve sworn Whis made a sexual joke about things being wet.

The whole theatre started cracking up laughing and saying “Woahhh” and a kid next to me even said “Why’s everyone laughing?” to which the kid’s Dad replied “It’s nothing”, which further cements to me that, that moment was totally a sexual innuendo. Or again, Mandela effect. When I saw it today Dubbed though, the whole sexual innuendo part of that was absent and it was instead

Whis teasing Beerus’ asking if he’s putting up a barrier to make sure no one gets wet, like it was in the Japanese version.

It’s totally possible I’m wrong but I’m curious what everyone else’s experience is with this and if there might be any validly to it or simply a Mandela effect type thing.

I saw it opening weekend. I don't remember if gamma2 called him demon king piccolo every time but i swear the first time he meets piccolo does. The next time i think it might have just been king piccolo.


I don't remember about the wet sex joke.


When Beerus put up the barrier against water remember whis teasing him about wanting to protect the green girl he wants to give the rod it destructio to.
