With animation I mean real anime, not cutscene created by the game engine.
I know about:
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse (anime segments with the same name)
- Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 (Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans)
- Dragon Ball Z: For Kinect (Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock)
- Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans (OVA with the same name)
- Terebikko (Dragon Ball Z: Gather Together Goku World)
Is that all?
Thanks!
Which DB video games have an exclusive OVA/animation?
Re: Which DB video games have an exclusive OVA/animation?
Dragon Ball Sagas does a recap of DB from Red Ribbon to Cell Arc
May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key
Re: Which DB video games have an exclusive OVA/animation?
Ultimate Tenkaichi and Xenoverse 2 have some too.
Also a whole ton of Dragon Ball Heroes anime trailers probably make for over a hour of content at this point.

Sounds good I'll check them out, thank you!!
Re: Which DB video games have an exclusive OVA/animation?
Excuse me, but are you considering the Opening animations too? There are also some games with animated openings too, I'll make a list including them:
- Dragon Ball Z: Atsumare! Gokū Wārudo (1992, Animated Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (1993, Animated Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 (1995, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Shin Butouden (1995, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball GT Final Bout (1997, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 (2003, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 (2004, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Sagas (2005, Animated Opening Cutscene)
- Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast 2 (2010, Animated Movie "Plan to Eradicate The Saiyans")
- Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi (2011, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z (2014, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse (2015, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (2016, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)
Note:
-Dragon Ball Z Sagas also includes animated cutscenes, but all of them are taken from the anime.
-I won't include Dragon Ball heroes, as the animated cutscenes were made only for the commercials and previews, there aren't in-game animated cutscenes made for it.
-I also won't include "Episode of Bardock" in Dragon Ball Z For Kinect, because the OVA wasn't made for the game, actually it was released in 2011, while the game, just in 2012, they just decided to include it as a extra feature, it's not like "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans", the OVA came out alongside the Raging Blast 2 game, it was made for the game.
-The Opening for "Shin Butouden" actually uses the same Animation from the opening of Ultimate Battle 22, just the music and some montages are different.
- Dragon Ball Z: Atsumare! Gokū Wārudo (1992, Animated Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (1993, Animated Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 (1995, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Shin Butouden (1995, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball GT Final Bout (1997, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 (2003, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 (2004, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Z Sagas (2005, Animated Opening Cutscene)
- Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast 2 (2010, Animated Movie "Plan to Eradicate The Saiyans")
- Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi (2011, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z (2014, Animated Opening)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse (2015, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (2016, Animated Opening and Cutscenes)

I simply wouldn't want to imagine my life without Dragon Ball, thank you Akira Toriyama (1955-2024), you are now immortal ~☆
