2023 DBZ game predictions

2023 is right around the corner, any logical guess on what the 2023 console game might be? I don't think DLC counts for already existing games. My guess is a Sequel to FighterZ

I think a sequel to FighterZ would have already been announced if it was set for 2023, like any game.
All three DLCs for Kakarot coming in 2023, probably all along the year - and the next-gen upgrade in January - have been announced for months now, even those we don't know anything about yet.

So if anything major was coming in 2023, we would already know at least a year ahead of time !
My guess is that absolutely nothing is coming except updates for mobile games / card games and the announced Kakarot DLCs, and new assets for Breakers I guess (extra enemies, extra maps, extra shop items...).

If we're lucky, they'll announce Fighterz 2 at some point during the year, but for a 2024 release only!

I wouldn’t count on a new console game. It would’ve been announced by now. Besides, Dragon Ball games seem to exclusively get released in even-numbered years these days.

My big hope is that we get an open world Dragon Ball game with an original story at some point in the near future.

The DBS Card Game Simulator was announced for 2023, no? I guess that counts, especially if it has some kind of 3D Models and online play.

I think Kakarot DLC and the FighterZ next-gen update will be the big DB releases this year. I actually think the next game will be XV3 but that it won't be announced and released until 2024. And then FighterZ 2 the year after.

If Xenoverse 3 isn't even announced this year, I'm gonna officially give up. Seven years since the last game was released already, come on.

If I can't have XV3, just give me FighterZ 2 for more Android 21 or a new game with a new story and new characters.

This!! I think they'd be foolish to not release a new collection for current gen consoles. Worst case scenario is we only get a rerelease of the PS3/360 HD collection digitally for current gen consoles.

Wasn't it revealed recently that they were going to release a Digital Version of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game? ( It may also just be the Dragon Ball Card Game ) I believe that would count if it's released this year as even things like ports to Switch / PC count as a game.

Namco Bandai will probably have it via gamepass if they ever do that.
