Are Vegeta and Bulma married?
Looking at my manga volumes, he refers to her as his wife. I don't remember them ever having a ceremony. Does Vegeta just call her that because they basically are married(or lovers)?

They weren't married in the future timeline, future Trunks said his mom wasn't really the type to marry- but because Vegeta refers to her as his wife in the normal timeline in the Buu saga, you can pretty much assume they DID get married (the situation there is a lot different than the mirai situation of course)... But I do believe they kept it small... ;p
I actually wrote a piece about this for my Bulma & Vegeta fanlisting:

I always just assumed they got married some time in the seven years that Goku was dead. Probably before Bra was born. After everything with Cell, he probably settled down a little more and Buruma bugged him until he agreed to make it official.
I always find it humourous when I see little Vegeta/Buruma fangirls go around assuming they're already married by the Android Saga. They always make their relationship out to be this "fairytale romance". There's absolutely no proof they were, and from the scenes at the beginning of the saga when Goku and the others reunite with her, things point more in the direction that they aren't.

Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

I always thought people assumed that they were married. I mean, just becuase they live together and have kids doesn't mean they are married..Then again, isn't there a picture or something at the end of a video(?) where everybody is "dressed-up" sometime in the Cell Arc? I always thought that if they were married, that would be the only sort of hint that they did so..

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Holy crackerjacks, I never really considered that. I suppose it might make sense, though Gohan was really the only one wearing a suit and tie, everyone else just seemed normal. I think it was more a "Look your best for Trunks' departure" kind of thing. I like to think in the anime, they would've been married sometime following the events with Bojack, as Vegeta started showing the resolve spirit he seemed to lose after Cell was defeated, but suddenly had back 7 years later training present Trunks.Mr.Piccolo wrote:I always thought people assumed that they were married. I don't think they would have had a "Christian" type wedding, seeing as Toriyama-Sensei is Japanese and more accustomed to Buddhist weddings.fps_anth wrote:I can't picture Vegeta in a suit, in a church with many people. We shouldn't rule it out, though, since many Western elements make their way into the anime. And don't Goku and Chi Chi have a kind of western wedding?Payne222 wrote:I don't think they would have had a "Christian" type wedding, seeing as Toriyama-Sensei is Japanese and more accustomed to Buddhist weddings.fps_anth wrote:I can't picture Vegeta in a suit, in a church with many people. Sorry about that then if I'm wrong.

I'm with the theory that they're just lovers and Vegeta feels more comfortable using the word "wife" for Bulma even though they're not married. "Lover" sounds too sexual of a word for me to imagine him using in public when talking about his relationship with her.
I hear the word "mate" used in fandom a lot for them though.

It might be worth noting that this was filler. In the manga, they're married as soon as Goku agrees to it at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai.mAcChaos wrote:We shouldn't rule it out, though, since many Western elements make their way into the anime.
