I would love some of the high quality animators One Piece is getting lately. I dont know their names but I just know there are many here who know their names and their talents.

I'd like to see Masaaki Yuasa take a stab at Dragon Ball some time. Preferably as the director for a whole series or film, but doing only one episode or scene would be cool as well.

She's primarily a director nowadays, but Rie Matsumoto already did a lot of work for Toei (Kyousisgiga is sooo pretty), and would probably fit really well into a series like DB. Doubt it would ever happen but...shout outs !!

I want to see Iwane Masaaki return. Iwane worked on Dragon Ball Z but his true claim to fame is how he has worked for Pocket Monsters since 1997 turning in most of the franchise's best animation on a consistent schedule. Starting in 1998 Iwane began doing solo key animation regularly while maintaining his usual high-quality animation—even improving on his own varied animation—and has solo key animated 115 episodes for the franchise between also working on other animation supervisors' episodes, Opening animation, Ending animation, movies, specials and more.

An episode storyboarded and directed by Asada Yuuji (Iwane's usual partner for his solo episodes) and key animated by Iwane would be really fascinating to see.

It's really hard not to consider the sort of life he could bring to the franchise. I think it's a terrifying shame that there is so little discussion about Iwane within the wider English-speaking Japanese animation community because what he has done is truly unheard of. Skilled animators like Tanaka Hironori will occasionally turn in a solo key animation episode over the years but of the animators who will regularly turn in solo key animation episodes as part of a regular rotation of animators none have done so like Iwane Masaaki has—with high-quality and varied sequences. Hell, none have been so trusted like Iwane has been that the entire production schedule bent over backwards to grant him the ability to do consecutive solo key animation episodes!1 Dragon Ball would be a great platform to spread awareness of this awesome duo.

1Iwane Masaaki solo key animated Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl Episodes #172, #177, #183's B Part, #187-188 and #191 while providing key animation for #170, #176, and #189. During Pocket Monsters XY Iwane solo key animated Episodes #23-24 (although they did not air in consecutive order due to broadcasting issues), #124 and #126, while providing some key animation for #125. During Pocket Monsters (2019) Iwane Masaaki solo key animated the four Arceus specials and Episode #95. All five episodes were released consecutively in January 2022. I don't believe anyone has ever had five solo key animation episodes be released in a single month.

Dragon Ball Super (2015-2018) lacked character acting animation, especially during its funny scenes. With an animator like Iwane the next series would have that covered in spades.

Katsumi Ishizuka. Dude's been murdering it in One Piece. His cuts are just pure adrenaline. The way he animates smears, effects and impacts are unreal. Imagine him going all out in a Dragon Ball cut.

Imagine that Zoro cut but it's Ultra Ego Vegeta.
