Hello. I'm currently working on an edit of Dragon Ball Z that replaces Linda Young's original voice over's of Frieza with Chris Ayres voice from Kai. The most tricky part has been trying to isolate the Funi Faulconer score from the voices. For the most part I've been using Adobe Audition's "Center Channel Extractor" tool to isolate the background music and remove the vocals. Although this has proved to be somewhat successful there are still some sound artifacts that can be heard here and there. Problem now is that I've hit a brick wall at Episode 98 of Z.
The Adobe Audition effect doesn't seem to be working for this particular episode for whatever reason. So I've come here hoping for a better solution to my problem. If anyone has any idea of a method I can use to rip the BGM it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Ripping Audio From Remastered Dub
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is if you use the 5.1 mix with the Kikuchi score, it tends to be easier to isolate vocals as they come from the center channel.
You may be best off doing so here, and re-inserting the Faulconer music yourself.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Tried doing just this however, for some reason the center channel has music bleeding in with every episode I try it with.bkev wrote: Mon Jun 26, 2023 1:53 pm Forgive me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is if you use the 5.1 mix with the Kikuchi score, it tends to be easier to isolate vocals as they come from the center channel.
