Gamestop 'Harukanaru Densetsu' listing

Post by Lord Moonstone » Tue Jan 09, 2007 8:52 pm

Well I was looking around www.gamestop.com to see if they had a copy of Supersonic Warriors 2 available.

So I search 'Dragon Ball', and then I come across the strangest find.

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=180271

They have a listing for Harukanara Goku Densetsu, which they obviously put as the wrong title.. so I'm a little suspicious.

The date is March 20th, 2007 apparently for this 'release', just like Shin Budokai : Another Road.

Thoughts on this? Jump Superstars is still absent. But they say they have Naruto Saikyou Ninja Daikeshuu 4 (The one appearing with Jump Superstars at Best Buys around the country) available and shipping within 24 hours.

Hmm...

I know. I'm pointing out that Gamestop has a listing for it coming out in America.

Which brings up the whole 'import' issue again and what's going on with that. Because from this, it seems that they're going to have it in GameStop stores.

It's more likely that Atari will be localizing the game, but I see your point.

A card game's possibly one of the last things I'd be able to play untranslated as it probably requires a vast knowledge of japanese. XD

Even Barnes 'n Noble has Jump Super Stars and Naruto 4 listed. o_O Though you can only order the Naruto one as JSS says it's new and out of stock.

According to a friend of mine who used to work for Barnes and Noble, their parent company also owns Gamestop. His employee discount even applied to both places. So...that could explain it.

That is indeed true. I used to work at a Gamestop, and even though there are no B&Ns in this city, it applied there as well.

It applies to Electronics Boutique as well; the employee discount from B 'n N I mean.

I wonder why Jump! Superstars and Naruto 4 (and perhaps Harukanara Goku Densetsu) are appearing in non-import stores all over. It's very peculiar....
