Would Goku have been able to take Jiren if he had taken on the role of GoD apprentice?

In the manga, It was said that Jiren had declined Belmond's offer of GoD apprenticeship, so Belmond decided to train Toppo instead. Given said transformation boost your power, defense and destructive output greatly, do you think MUI could have taken a GoD apprentice, Jiren?

Jiren is probably not suited to that style, and he could grow stronger doing his own training. That is probably why he declined.
