Bardock's henchmen continued...

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Bardock's henchmen continued...

Seripa was brought up, but what are the rest of the teams names and their dub names? And why does everyone automatically think Serpia is Goku's mother?

Toma is the one that is Bardock's second-in-command I think, it's a play on "tomato". Panbukin was the one with the mustache, his name was a play on "pumpkin". Totepo was the balding guy and his name was a play on "potato", I think. I don't remember what Toma's dubbed name was and I don't think they ever gave the other two guys dub names period. Why does everyone think Seripa is Goku's mother? Same reason why people think Elvis is still alive, because they want to. It's just a baselesss assumption on people's part. She's a female Saiyajin, she knows Bardock, she's got dark hair, must be Goku's mother, even though she's off on planet fighting just after giving birth! :?

Yeah. And what's worse is that she could pass her-self off as Videl's mother if not sister....

As for the dubbed name's, they ALL had one, except for Bardock. Toma's was somthing like Tora or Torma or some such. The other's I can't remember but I know they had them.

I can understand Toma/Tora, but where the hell did FUNimation come up with the rest of these names?

No clue... it makes no sense what-so-ever to me either. But FUNi is odd anyway, so that kind of explains it.

I think the reason people say Celipa/Seripa is Goku's Mumsy is because most people try desperately to look for significance where there is none. Bardock was a space pirate, he probably screwed a lot of women in his time.

I was wondering if we could say f*ck too, I originally wrote 'Bardock f*cked a lot of women in his time" but just to be safe, I changed it.

I'm also being cautious here by putting * where the 'u's are. Mike? Julian?

Kind of like how with SM I can understand Ami/Amy, Rei/Raye, Minako/Mina, Michiru/Michelle and Serena because of the Serenity mentions, but how the hell do you go from Makoto to Lita, and Haruka to Amara?

What about from Mamoru to Darien? :? And guys, you can use any language you want here. It's not the "Romper Room" forums.

Eh, it was an American Pie joke. Milf. You know.

It sucked, I'm sorry. It was also horribly offensive. I go beat myself now. :-P

Writing "f*ck" is one of the most retarded things a person can do. Everyone knows what it means. Putting in a star does not somehow make the word unoffensive. If I were a parent, and I saw my 6 year old son reading a forum where people said "F*cking c*nt sh*t head", I wouldn't think "Oh no, he's reading inapporpriate words! No, wait, it's okay, those asterixes are protecting him! Praise our lord in heaven who saved us all from eternal darnation!"

To clarify though, while Mike and Julian have said that swearing is okay, they probably wouldn't be too happy if every post you made had you calling someone a "bollocking cunt face". Everything in moderation.

I'll get down after I've finished my post.

It's fine to swear, but you wouldn't go saying "CHAIR CHAIR SOFA CARDBOARD CHAIR" so I doubt you should want to abuse your privileges with things like "FUCK FUCK SHIT ASS FUCK"? The word doesn't even mean anything these days, people use it so often... They're some of my favourite words, why make them lose their meaning? I passed by a cute little asian girl, and overheard her saying "Fuck! My fucking backback is too damn fucking heavy! Fuck!". Times have changed... Poor "fuck".

Uhm, yes. Since when is Bardock a pirate?
