Would you believe me if I told you Ryusei Nakao played Goku before Masako Nozawa ever did? How about the show being a wall to wall comedy even Akira Toriyama would call insane. And its a girls manga to boot despite being a "Battle Shonen" where even the tropes of later works like Naruto could be found.

No, its just that this anime pretty much had Goku before Goku to the point of being voiced by Masako Nozawa years before Dragon Ball. My title is REALLY shoddy, but the point is that this "Loveable Dumb Badass guy" was a thing prior to Dragon Ball. (I know this will probably get me an earful from older anime fans that this was also a thing before DB, notably Kinnikuman.) AND VOICED By Ryusei Nakao too!

And its a girls manga too, so it REALLY gives off a feeling that its Dragon Ball before its time.
