Subtitles matching the dub only even on the Japanese audio

Does this irk anyone else? It's clear in the games Funimation sometimes tamper with the lines and add their own references and jokes, but even if you switch to the Japanese audio, the subtitles are the same, even though something else is clearly being said. Even someone with limited Japanese knowledge can notice this. Would it be a big hassle for separate subtitles for the original Japanese? A lot of original dialogue is lost this way in translation.

I usually don't play Dragon Ball games with the Japanese voices set, but I think the subtitles that only match the dub are annoying. I even made a nearly similar thread in this subforum regarding the use of dub names still being used in Dragon Ball games, even with the Japanese voices set.

I'm starting to think maybe it'd be better if I bought the Hong Kong version instead. No English dub and sub, Chinese subtitles only. None of this Funi dubism BS. Bandai-Namco is making it hard for me to decide on which version to buy as they have omitted English out of Asian releases of their games.
The world is your's.
