In America the life expectancy from birth is late 70s, but that figure is factoring in the poor. The life expectancy for the middle class is mid-80s, and for the rich is late 80s (87.3 for men and an even 89 for women). It's true that she's in much better health than the average 88 year old though. To whatever degree her acting has changed (I only noticed a few moments in Daima that seem off), that degree is much milder than what most 88 year olds would know.
