Dragon Ball Daima: Streaming Performance Discussion Thread
I didn't want TV ratings and performances in the streaming charts to be conflated so decided to make a separate thread.
Over the last week or so I noticed Twitter/X users in various countries noting how well Dragon Ball Daima has been doing on the streaming services where its been released so far.
Here's a few examples:
India : #1 in kid's shows and #4 overall on Netflix (as of October 23, 2024)
UK : #2 in kid's shows on Netflix (dated October 27, 2024)
Latin America : #1 in 15 countries on HBO Max (on October 27, 2024), namely Belize, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela
Feel free to share any other reports about Daima doing well on any streaming platform.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima: Streaming Performance Discussion Thread
It seems to me like Hong Kong is only getting the show streaming on Viu TV. It has not appeared on Netflix in the region. But it's free with ads (unless you're getting the paid service) so nothing to complain about.
The world is your's.

Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English TV (Oct 21 - 27, 2024)
DAIMA ranked #2. Note: episode 2 released that week. Daima did not make the top 10 when ep.1 released the week prior.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

How does Netflix count it's viewing performance?
Does watching 10 seconds count?
Or watching half the episode and then turning it off?

So why shouldn't they keep introducing new forms when they always break the internet when they do it?Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Thu Feb 20, 2025 9:38 am As of last week Daima was:

If I was a producer or share-holder or whatever I'd tell the writers to make SSJ5 canon because people clearly consume this stuff.
The fandom shouldn't complain just because they've found a winning strategy.
Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.
