If you have the Hulu/Disney Plus combo in the US, I have (what could've been) good news for you: it seems that with Daima now simulcasting, they've finally added all of the Dragon Ball series from the Hulu catalog to Disney Plus! Now you can watch episodes from the following shows:
Dragon Ball (subtitled)
Dragon Ball Z Kai (dubbed)
Dragon Ball GT (subtitled)
Dragon Ball Super (dubbed; this includes the Broly film as its own separate entry, though it was already on the service in the US)
Dragon Ball Daima (subtitled, simulcast)
But there's a problem. When I say episodes, I mean SOME episodes, not all of them. Other than Daima--which makes sense since it's new--every DB show on Disney Plus is missing episodes (at least on my end). A cursory Twitter search revealed that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. I already expected Kai to have the random Nicktoons episodes and closed caption problems since this is just what Hulu has slapped onto Disney, but it looks like whatever process they use to transfer titles over must've glitched out. I have to wonder what other non-DB shows might've been affected by this.
It also reminds me of when the same thing happened to OG DB on VRV, with only a handful of episodes making it on there before the service shut down. I reached out to Disney Plus customer support to see if they can fix the issue, but I imagine that'll take time. For now, it looks like my novelty watch of Kai in the Mouse's house will have to wait. Funnily enough, Kai is actually the most complete out of the affected DB shows, only missing six episodes. OG DB, on the other hand, got the short end once again since most of the show is missing.
Here's a list of the missing episodes on my end:
DB: 1-25, 27-28, 30-70 S2E32-50, S2 E52-70, 72-75, 77-110, 112-113, 115-116, 118-135, 137-141, 144-149, 152-153
Kai: 1, 29, 49-51, 99
GT: 1-4, 6-7, 9-21, 23, 25-27, 29-39, 42-45, 47-49, 51, 53-55, 57-64
Super: 1-8, 10-18, 20-23, 25-26, 29-34, 36, 38-39, 41-43, 46-53, 55-60, 62, 64, 66-74, 76-79, 81-85, 87-99, 101-102, 104-107, 110-115, 117-120, 123, 126-131
Several DB shows are now on Disney Plus via Hulu, but...

Why DBZ isn't added to Disney+? Isn't it because Crunchyroll wants to make DBZ exclusive to their namesake streaming service (which the average person isn't going to subscribe to since Crunchyroll is primarily aimed toward the anime otaku audience)?
But aside from that, it's nice to hear that several streaming services are interested in having Dragon Ball anime shows available on their catalogs.

It can be in both disney and crunchyroll simultaneously or in all streaming services for what it concerns to me. The more people who watch it the better.TechExpert2021 wrote: Sat Nov 02, 2024 3:37 pm Why DBZ isn't added to Disney+? Meanwhile in Mexico we are getting it via Netflix, and almost everyone has netflix because sometimes it comes as a gift when you get cable services.

Netflix in the U.S. must have DBZ in their catalog and I hope it won't be English-dub-only.
