Looks like Toonzai was predicted in 1999

Post by Dragon Ball Ireland » Mon Feb 17, 2025 11:08 am

Cure Dragon 255 found this. It appears in 1999 someone on DBZ Uncensored asked for the haloes to be removed from character's heads, and funnily enough over a decade later when Kai was airing on Toonzai 4Kids and Saban made this a reality.

As we saw during these airings the halo was replaced with a glowing orb.

What's everyone's thoughts? Did you prefer the orb to a halo for the edited version of Kai?
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

I feel that if FUNimation were to redo all of the dubs and make them completely uncensored, and sell them as video tapes instead of broadcasting on TV, I am positive that they would receive a much broader audience.
Damn, Heather also predicted the Ultimate Uncut releases. She must be a oracle or something.

No way. The orb looks stupid. If they had a problem with the halo, they should've removed it then rather than poorly editing that orb.
A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years :)

To be fair, Funimation was talking about releasing an unedited uncut dub since at least 1997. Less predicted and more aware of what Fukanaga and co had been yapping about at the time, I'm guessing
