Namekian lore

So what's going on with the Namekians?

• Namekians originate from Demon Realm 2;
• After Rymus created the 18 Universes, the Dragon God Zalama created the Super DBs in U6 and U7;
• Presumably Neva, or another Namekian, managed to scrape some pieces of the balls and take them to the Demon Realm while free travel was possible;
• There, Neva created the first Namekian dragon balls (assuming Zalama isn't a Namekian);
• The Namekians leave the demon realm and settle in U6 and U7, among them Katats. They chose these universes presumably so they can scrape more pieces off the SDBs if needed, or they took some of the original scraped pieces with them;
• The Namekians take the Ajisa trees to terraform a planet;
• At some point, Porunga is replicated on planet Namek and passed down from Elder to Elder;
• A great cataclysm devastated planet Namek, causing Namekians to flee or perish;
• The ones who escaped are the son of Katats and Monaito (?);
• They managed to acquire pieces of the SDBs and craft their own set.

A few confusing things here. If we assume all DBs are crafted from the Super DBs, did they just have a big stash of scrapped off pieces they keep using?

I like that idea, good point.

So far I interpreted it that some Namekians settled on U7 Namek and other planets like Cereal after they came from the Demon Realm.
(Probably most of them on Namek).
Also note that there were a few dozens of Namekians on Cereal with a seemingly different Grand Elder who gave the Dragon Balls to Monaito during the invasion.

Must have been like that in a way? As you mentioned, the free travel would have allowed Dragon Balls to be created in the Demon Realm as well. But the biggest question yet to be answered is: Who is and where is Zalama?

Yeah, Zalama is definitely the biggest unknown in DB lore for now. Very weird we never got even a design for the character so far - it's not like Yamoshi who's only mentioned in interviews, he was directly referenced in-universe. I assume this would be right up Toei's alley in Heroes, but I guess they didn't wanna overstep in case Toriyama wanted to reuse the character later.

Indeed, so I really hope Zalama will appear before DBS comes to an end. Zalama might not even be a Namekian.

I like that the Namekians are Demons or part of the Demonic Realm since originally King Piccolo was a Demon the King of Evil then they said he was an Alien now i like that the Namekians are "Demons" again
