Sounds like a LoG. And not very surprising info either, who hadn't expected this?Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury E3 2004 Preshow First Look
For years, Dragon Ball Z fans all over the globe have watched as the fate of the universe has been threatened time and again by power-hungry megalomaniacs who are never satisfied with just controlling their corner of the galaxy. Between Vegeta, Frieza, and the androids, the quest for more power never seemed to end. Through it all, Goku always stepped up to the plate to meet and beat whatever enemies flew into the protected realm. Then came Majin Buu, and suddenly everyone realized that for once, a solution might not be forthcoming.
In Atari's Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, you start at the beginning of the Other World Tournament and battle all the way through to the end of the Dragon Ball Z storyline. You will play this battle-based role-playing game through the end of the Kid Buu Saga as one of five characters: Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, or Trunks. If it's not enough that you have the ability to tear through your enemies with an upgraded combat system, including powerful new combos and super moves, you can always bring out the two fusion characters, Gotenks and Vegito, to save the day.
Dragon Ball Z fans around the world will be able to play Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury on the Game Boy Advance and even challenge a friend using the link cable. With the combination of traditional action and RPG elements, this game will have you questing after the ultimate goal: the defeat of Majin Buu.

I think I'm in the dark here. What's going on with Zelda? Did they finally release news about the upcoming GBA game?
Concerning Buu's Fury...
I was hoping for something a bit more special, like in-depth minigames, a variety of optional side-quests (collecting things doesn't count as a side-quest...) or a store/inventory/armor system like that of other RPGs. Being able to fuse seems rather paltry as the only major addition.

Fusions seem to require a button pressing excercise, probably timing related. Cool. I hope they don't make it too easy.
And why is that giant man?

Gotenks fighting oversized punks? Vegeta on a dull background fighting Buu with their terribly simple fighting system? The same Nameksei-jin used four times in the audience of the Afterlife Tournament?
Oh dear god.

Except that obviously LOG 2 was a very good game. What are you talking about?
(And obviously this was a reply to Alias' message.)

I didn't like LOG2 much. Some of it was fun (flight, for instance), but it was mostly bland. The side-quests were dull, consisting of find and return tasks. The fighting system was nothing but running at the opponent, hitting them, and running away (or, simply going behind a rock and punching repeatedly when they come at you). Most of the enemies were annoying (snakes, for instance). The dialogue lacked the flavor and emotion of the series. Etc... The only recent RPG I've played that truly did justice to the series was the Wonderswan Color game, and that's in Japanese with lots of Kanji.

This isn't the place to bitch about LoG2... What I'm about to say is also off-topic, but at least there's not already a thread for that sort of thing.
There is a GBA game where Link has a Bird Hat and he can change his size... Is that what you're talking about?
What can I say? I know my Zelda. Barely.
I was actually referring to the Spaceworld 2000 Zelda game revisited. You know, the new GCN one? ...Alias wrote:I think I'm in the dark here. What's going on with Zelda? Did they finally release news about the upcoming GBA game?

I have mixed feelings about that. The new one does look cool, but I really liked the cel shading in the last one. Plus it annoyed lots and lots of nerds, which is always good.

I guess I'm a nerd then because I really did like the old style of Zelda better. But you cant exactly call me an annoying nerd now because I still bought the game and never complained about it! I'm too loyal to Zelda!
As for the LOG3, looks pretty good. I'm excited to get it. But thats just me talkin!

I like the 3D Zelda games better than the old NES style ones, much better. OoT was just B-E-utiful. So is WW, though I don't have GC to actually play it.SpiritBomb wrote:I guess I'm a nerd then because I really did like the old style of Zelda better. As for LOG3, it looks like the first two. So long as it's at least as good as the second it'll be a fun game.

Yes, but it's had a major overhaul. The adorable graphics alone are reason to play, but the game itself is great too. It beautifully covers the story from the beginning to the end (of the first series) and has everything from exploration to slightly different story routes depending on what you do. The only flaw I can think of is that there weren't enough different mini-games.Adamant wrote:It's also a port of an old NES game: Dragon Ball Gokuuden (or something)
Well I'm hoping the combat system gets a bit more of a overhaul (I want a black/dodge/afterimage button!), and characters get more special moves!
Only thing that sucks though...you only get to use the saiyans now
I am hoping for some secret characters like Piccolo/Krillin?/Tien/Yamcha or maybe Videl, Kaioshin,Pikkon, or some What-if fusions

I can't wait to spend another ten hours using Vegeta's awesome Saiyan power to control the wildlife population, because, you know, it's WELL-DOCUMENTED that Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta train to become the most powerful and deadliest killing machines in the universe by going outside and smacking wild boars for hours on end. Then, of course, even though my Goku and Vegeta will beat the ever-loving HELL out of Kid Buu, we'll still need to use that spirit bomb.
It'll be like in LOG 2 when Cell sent out his lil' Cell Jr's, whom were immediately destroyed than with no more effort than to kill that first mindless goomba in Super Mario Bros. I mean, I don't think they even HIT any of my characters, nevermind my Vegeta, who was, thanks to my efforts, the strongest character in the game, which made me wonder if Gohan's SSJ2 transformation was even necessary.
Then Cell has the gall to ask me, "Had enough, yet?" Did you watch what just happened to your idiot offspring? I've had more difficulty dressing myself than killing those things, you putz.
