Have you ever considered changing the colour on the background for the forum??

Do you mean to tell me that everyone here posts during the day time and that is why no one has ever been bothered by how clear the background is?

Reddit, X, and other websites have dark backgrounds because people tend to read at night time... or even if it is not night time, it makes it easier to read stuff when the background is dark and the letters bright, rather than the other way around.

Maybe you don't have to go full black, maybe some nice dark tones of gray would do the trick. It would make things easier for some people I believe....

It actually already exists. Go to your user control panel > board preferences and you'll see a "my board style" section. Change that to Kanzenshuu Dark and you'll have yourself dark mode!

I totally agree that a dark mode option would really help with eye strain, especially for those of us who browse late at night.
