I've always found it fascinating how Budokai 3’s opening (released back in 2004) showed a short but epic clash between Broly and Gogeta — long before it officially happened in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie in 2018.

Dragon Ball Z - Budokai 3 ( 2004 )

Broly Movie ( 2018 )
In Budokai 3, Gogeta (Super Saiyan) fights Broly in a fast-paced sequence, ending with a Super Kamehameha. At the time, this was purely fan service — since Gogeta hadn’t appeared in much canon material, and Broly was still a movie-only character.
Fast forward 14 years later, and we get the real fight — SSGSS Gogeta vs. Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, animated beautifully and fully canon.
So here's what I'm wondering:
Was the Budokai 3 intro just a coincidence ????? , or do you think Toei/Bandai were already toying with the idea back then
Do you think the game intro inspired the later movie
Which version of the fight did you personally enjoy more — the stylish tease in B3 or the full cinematic battle in the movie?
Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts or any behind-the-scenes info you might know!
